early game is exploring and just appreciating the beauty of the game mid game is learning about anubis and trying to breed it late game is getting anubis to 4 stars and then starting to breed other powerful pals like jormuntide and shadowbeak end game is breeding hundreds of those 3 pals to get max potential with legendary passives and finding doctor brawn

Honestly, this game is everything I ever wanted from Pokemon, and never got. The pals have personality (can't wait to see more of this!), the crafting makes sense without being overwhelming, the world is beautiful and challenging, while including elements that scratch just about every video game itch I have. It is still in EA, but already a huge success. Bare bones story-wise as of right now, but I'm sure that will be fixed as time goes on. I feel like I'll never want to play a classic Pokemon game after experiencing only a bit of what Palworld has to offer. I do hope to see a bit more puzzle-y elements added as time goes on, but that's a small nitpick for a game that provides just about everything else I could ask for. Can't recommend highly enough! Also, adding mods to the game is simple and allows for even greater levels of customization and fun!

Highly recommended (survival) PVE base building game with catch and add mob mechanic. It has a PvP option on a multiplayer server, however i'm playing solo. I played a lot o games in this particular genre, Conan Exiles, Grounded, (Sons of) The Forest, Smalland, Once Human, Return to Moria and more along with various Pokémon titles and TemTem. . This game excels in some aspects greatly while falling short on others. Pro's Catch and add mobs. - mobs for combat, traversal (mount) and crafting. They tend to chores in base they can do. Some can cook/forge very well while ohers can tend to the garden to keep that supply of tomato's going. Loot assignment. - Drop-off locations like chests can be set that only ores go in or no ingedredients etc. to make sure those AI don't make a mess of the place. - customize world settings Every start of the game you can you can change the world settings to adjust them to your liking. For example every once and a while raiders will atk a base on default setting. some players might prefer this not being a part of the game due 2 the risk of losing bits and pieces (or more) of their home. ** Very indepth AI progressions system. - There are GV's (what i like to call them) Every AI has a 3 GV values between 0 and 100 on ATK, DEF and HP (abillity glasses item required to see) For example: a Pal with a GV of 0 on HP will go up 1 HP per level while the Pal with GV 100 on HP will gain 1,3 HP per level. This is effectively a 30% difference for each of those stats @ max lvl. Those that played Pokémon and are familiar with IV and EV's will quickly understand the GV concept in Palworld. - You can ''condense'' the same Pal into it using a station at base. This increases the star level of the Pal thus enhancing its stats and it's passive skill goes up by 1 rank. - You find and loot souls of fallen Pals. These can be infused into a Pal using another station increasing their stats. - Pals have passives which influence them in various ways. From epic to gold to regular quality for various purposes. Examples: + 20% move speed is very good for a mount pal, +75% work speed is what you want for those pals you leave in base to tend to chores. YES, This is the game where if you commit to it you can make the most basic of pals into a slayer of legends or a true artisan of their craft and you're not forced to use or choose of a short list of A tier or better (unless you prefer to PvP ofcourse) Current cons - Story line is open tab check quest, track and follow marker. Questchains are there so there is a line to guide you for going from A to Z in proper order. if you follow it you won't go from level 15 mobs into lvl 40+ - Once i got of the starter island it felt like the overworld Pals are very weak compared to the hostile humanoids. Especially their level. You run across an area where pals are lvl 40. The humanoid base has lvl 60 hostile AI in it. Even the final boss of the area is lvl 42 or 45? This is content is meant to be cleared and looted. The rewards correspond to that area but the challenge is way above what you signed up for Along the way the level cap was increased from 50 to 65 which influences these humanoid enemy spawns and legendary pals while. This is really messing with the playthrough and progression. Armor. - Diabolical economy on some parts, especially that required in bulk. Spheres to catch with and ammo to fight with. Example: 400k gold = equal to 40 magazines of the laser gattling gun. You can imagine each magazine doesn't last very long in a gattling gun. Playing high dmg low ammo consumption is required, Custom server with gatherrate x3 settings or even i dunno an adminpanel if there is one to spawn in requirements to craft that kind of ammo. -Building feels limited. You are stuck with square blocks and your base territory is a circle (not convenient). A lot of basic building pieces are missing. Cornerstairs, Cornerroof, inverted slope wall and many more. This forces a lot of homes to look like a square-box or a barn. not a fancy U or L shape with a sloped nicely alligned roof or anything. - Watch what you build Grab a stone wall and stack 2 of them onto another and watch that tremendous amount of Z-fighting between the two walls. Having this occur once isn't a biggy, altought i recommend not having it. Having this occur dozens upon dozens of times will cause (additional) stress on a host, server and even your own GPU. With a lot of Z-fighting going on a server often starts cramping up. Rubberbanding, desync, lowered FPS all around are results of extensive amounts of Z-fighting. Just there in the middle - Some materials are a lot harder to obtain and it feels like this might be due to its current stage or a choice on their end. Examples Water, fire, dark, electric and frost Pals drop basic pieces corresponding to that element. There are pals that produce this material in a farm over time for fire and Water. The other elements however require buying @ the merchant or grinding them by defeating that type in mass. - Buying certain items is much eazier and thus economy is a mentionable factor. There are niche ways to earn a lot quickly (appereantly). I made a money farm with a pal that creates money over time in a farm, some transporters to put the created money in a chest and every X time i come to collect. Oil is another requirement which requires a proper set-up with quality electric working capabillity palls and some crafting stations. i had to spend 1 base location to build something that resembles a powerplant Like most games where mobs's take part in base building they require a certain upkeep (food) and a bed to sleep in to maintain their sanity and keep on working. If you overextert them and don't tend to it they will get sick, depressed etc requiring meds that are not cheap to craft (you wanna prevent this).

I hope the company behind Palworld crush Nintendo in court for abusing the legal system and trying to intimidate companies who are truly innovating and delivering a new product to their consumers. This game is amazing by the way

A fantastic game that combines survival with Pokémon and assault rifles, great music, and a ton of content. The only downside I can think of is that it can get a bit grindy when you're stuck in the loop of gathering materials > crafting balls > catching 12 of each. Luckily, you can adjust the server settings to fix this issue. Overall a great game

An almost perfect game. Sadly, my character can't get knocked up and lay eggs. :(

Palworld is great and I really hope Nintendo doesnt ruin this game for us. With what the game has provided so far its fun, interesting, cute, dark, funny, and over all a blast. The exploration is crazy huge and the controls are easy. It gives a cozy vibe without it actually being a cozy game. Theres always something to do too. Not to mention you can play with friends. Just know that your data made on your friends server doesnt transpose over to solo mode. Hopefully thats something they will incorporate in the future.. if Nintendo doesnt ruin it lol Otherwise Palworld is wonderful!
★★★★★★★★★☆ (9/10)
I feel like I am just getting started. In no way did I expect this game to be as good as what it is, having now played it (and still playing). What was mis-represented to me through various outlets as a clone towards you-know-what, if anything it celebrates what makes that creature collecting charm so interesting and accelerates it into a world you typically wouldn’t expect to see it combine with. A creature with guns? You’re absolutely right. It’s not just a creature with a gun though, that’s my Mossanda Lux equipped with his own Grenade Launcher. Oh boy this is fun. There are moments in this where I feel like a kid again, and it’s been an absolute joy to behold playing this both singularly and cooperatively. The effort, detail and level of attention in this game genuinely surprises me. I’m quite blown away actually, because somehow it all works. I can fly a dragon into a gunfight, then return home and assign one of my vampire chickens to collect resources through the night. It’s absurdly brilliant. There’s a constant sense of progress, whether you’re expanding your stronghold, ticking off side quests or building your Pal library. There’s been plenty of noise since launch, but it’s pleasing to see Pocketpair steadily pushing onwards, rolling out meaningful updates that keep strengthening an already impressive experience. Lastly, this is the first game in a while I had overlooked, and a sharp re-reminder to myself not to judge a book by its cover. What seems like a parody on the surface is actually dangerously close to being genius underneath. The first game in a long time to blow my expectations out of the water. Nicely done devs. Long may it continue.
