got my character inventory wiped when i joined a friends game and he quit out. the amount of stupid shit you have to deal with in this game is annoying af. but to have my ENTIRE inventory vanish like it did was the last straw, i get that its early access but this is fucking stupid. cant put ANY map markers, cant even choose to spawn at your base when you die. no instead it spawns you randomly and you MIGHT get lucky. wasnt the case for me. spawned me on the whole other side of the mountain far as hell from where i died. its fun yes. but NOT WORTH THE FUCKING HEADACHE OF YOUR CHARACTERS INVENTORY GETTING FUCKING WIPED. NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND TILL YOU FIX YOUR GAME, FUCK YOU

eh its an okay game but theres just too much wrong with it. like performance issues, bugs and just a generally empty game. wish there were at least world settings or something to make it a little more fun. also why does the big guy run so fast wtf

got this game for three dollars. if it was 5 or more I would get a refund. for 3 bucks, I'm willing to uninstall and see how it is in a year or so. looks exactly like another game I've played that was better but also very disappointing

Pretty fun game so far! I look forward to seeing it develop, I've only put a couple hours in solo but will try to rope some friends in, definitely rough and a little confusing but as a major zomboid player this is to be expected. A couple notes, since you asked for feedback >Take a breather on guns development! You've got a great start, more detailed than I even know how to properly manage, I had a truck full of crates with guns and parts before I even had enough spark plugs to run the truck. >A little more in the way of tooltips, what do the skills help with and how do I raise them? I'm not really sure how impactful my grinding is. >It would be nice to be able to write on the map, and at least a little more info on where the junkyard is would be helpful since that guy has some important tutorial stuff, or make the spawn put you somewhat close to him on the garden map, I had to go through almost every major city to get to him. >The zombies could be a little smarter, the quick ones did give me some stress and getting hurt is punishing, but even when facing a decent sized group of 10-12 only about half seem to notice, and only a couple are aggressive enough to cause trouble. >Some zone based looting would be nice, some areas seem to have this but it's pretty much a grab bag, same with the zombies, they carry the most insane quantity and variety of stuff, like enormous furniture pieces. >Why can I wear so many things on my head? What do they do? I was wearing 7 hats before getting a single thing that added armor. >Please don't default whistle to the letter "i" button, though it is a hilarious way to get new players to die instantly >I like the stacking of boxes in bags in backpacks, I have so many inventory spaces within other inventory spaces, but it is hard to keep track! Maybe some labeling, or at least keep the windows open, or have them pop open in the same spot each time. >Speaking on that point the menu overlap is a little troubling when many things are open, having the ability to access limited functions, or having fixed positions would be fine, and some windows can be dragged around while others cannot. >Combat could be a little meatier, some damage indication on the zombies could help, because some die in 1 hit while others can take quite a beating >Flesh out the crafting system a little more! The loot is very entertaining, but the anvil disappointed a bit. Overall a very good foundation, I love a good open world zombie game with minimal direction or sense of purpose, and your gun basics are far beyond what's expected at this stage. Keep it up!

Outstanding! An instant classic in its own way. This game is at 0.5.1 right now and its already one of the best zombie games I've ever played. It scratches an itch nothing else has been able to yet. Theres a deep inventory system that is fun becuase it pairs with a looting system that is outrageous but FUN. Its just damn fun. I find myself roleplaying by accident. It gives you the tools, simple tools to roleplay and it works amazingly. In its current state, its a great time. Easy 40 hours and I see that only increasing. If you are a loot goblin, this is your game hands down. This is a fantastic co-op game too! While there are obvious things that are unfinished - Buildings with nothing to loot and unfurnished (Looks really odd), server stability is not there yet, reloading is unreliable oddly (Due to a deep gun customization system that makes up for it.), Items can disappear very easily and by accident. Vehicles are trash to drive and need players to rethink how to drive (Death is easy in cars by accident, cars get stuck extremely easily, building a mailbox under a wheel does help.). Inventory slots can become 'corrupted' and unusuable, sometimes happens on characters. Loss of world, loss of character. Its alpha, its expected so be aware. Knowing that, this game is just fun to jump in, loot some items, back to base, and store and set up your base. I love that I can build almost anything almost anywhere. it feels so good to have my base exactly as I want it within the games rules. I feel like i'm in a zombie apocalypse and were reinforcing the doors with chairs and tables trying to survive. I've been DYING for a barricader type game with zombies like this specially. There's a few but this lets you pick up that couch and barricade the door. its amazing. I bought it for like 4 people i thought it was so worth it to just try. The zombies don't attack your barricades yet, so its quite easy to cheese everything currently. but its just still fun to be in and play. I look forward to new maps (Mall? Sewers? Airport? New Cities? The artstyle lends to insanely quick turn around for maps and new props.) and fleshed out systems basically already there. I think its a solo dev currently and god damn have they done an amazing job so far. I am highly anticipating this games future!

Its pretty fun but there's little to no direction. My breaking point was logging out and logging back in due to a crash while I was in a bunker and having everything spawn on me, kill me, and then spawn me across the map from my base and items. I don't think I'll play again unless if the game improves in terms of direction, combat, and spawning of entities/items. Very little replayability

I love the game but it is missing something huge. there needs to be a reason to build and get gun parts. as soon as you get a gun the game becomes easy. maybe a horde attack or stronger zombies.

Started playing before the massive rework and found it to be enjoyable for a few hours. Balancing wasn't the best along with loot being super abundant definitely ruined the survival aspect but I was having fun so who cares. Pretty obvious this was a asset flip but seeing how the dev is trying to make his/her own unique game for a cheap price I'm willing to look past it. I haven't really touched it since the rework update as I want more time for the game to cook and give it a fair review then jump on the ban wagon. This is clearly a labor of passion and doesn't feel fair to judge it so soon. If the dev sees this "review" just keep doing what you're doing and take your time!
