The Death into Trouble is fantastic, a mix of platform and "hide and seek" game. In a good mood and beautiful pixel art environment I had a lot of fun playing with it.

A cute platformer with a curious theme. The animated pixel art is very polished, and the sound is atmospheric and varied. Worth a try!

The jump button is often broken where it's most needed, the ladder is even more broken, the point system is stupid + worthless, and the so-called "power-ups" do way too little to actually help the player progress.
I wish the maps were done better, or that the main damn objective served more challenge than making the player follow a linear path to exploring everything.... and that's not to say that many features are just utterly useless in the first place.
The concept of the game is not bad (could've been better), the art and the music are the only good things I can say about it... but due to the gameplay and execution being very unfriendly in every aspect, it is just not worth getting for the price, perhaps even if it was free.
Even rage games have more fairness than... however this is put together.
As a huge platformer enjoyer, there is currently no universe or timeline where I can recommend this game. Not in heaven, not even in hell.

A very fun platform game, in a darker line but cute and funny at the same time. For those who like platform games, I highly recommend it!

Nice idea about scrambled souls .. you have to find the correct ones in an exploratory world. A pleasant and nostalgic experience that remembers the good childhood times. I would suggest a game mode selection, I prefer to play on an easy mode =) ... Resuming, It's a great indie game.

The music and cutscenes are well polished, but the actual gameplay isn't great compared to some other platformers. Enemy attacks are very quick and typically have no wind-up animations or sound effects to warn you that they're coming. Since one hit is all it takes to kill you, it's very easy to die the first time you encounter a new enemy type. Some enemies can be killed, but some can't, and it isn't made clear which enemies fall into which category. In the purgatory level for example, I encountered a bat that I could kill by jumping on its head. In that same room on that same level, there was a second bat that looked just like the first that couldn't be killed in the same manner. In terms of exploration, it isn't always clear where your objectives are, which leads to a lot of wandering around. This wandering can become frustrating at times because you'll be taking a lot of blind "leaps of faith" throughout the playthrough, and since environmental hazards aren't shown on your map, it can be easy to end up in a pit of spikes or some other hazard that you couldn't see coming. The developers did add a button that lets you pan the camera around to see more of your surroundings, but the camera panning is often too limited to warn you about upcoming hazards. In terms of settings and accessibility, the game is missing some features. There are no display options; you're stuck with borderless windowed at a fixed resolution. While you can toggle music and sound effects on and off, you can't adjust their volume separately; you only get a master volume slider. The game doesn't pause or mute on focus loss. And, although you can change the controls, in-game key prompts won't respect the new control scheme; key prompts will only ever show the default keybind.
So far, this review probably makes the game sound really frustrating to play, and to some extent it is, but the real, main reason I stopped playing was because it was just boring. Collecting lost souls around the map doesn't provide much of a challenge and isn't particularly satisfying or interesting to do. In all fairness, I've only played for half an hour. The game is pretty cheap, and I haven't really given the game a fair shot. But I've played much more polished platformers from much larger studios, and that has made it hard for me to ignore the flaws of smaller games like this one. For the price, the The Death Into Trouble isn't bad. It's just not the game for me.

Once again you can expect what Hanoi Studios does the best with this game: An amazing work with the audio, soundtrack and sound design.
Besides this, The Death Into Trouble (TDIT) has an unique appeal to what an indie game can offer in terms of original voice acting as well, great job done by "Vozindie" with the voice director Caroli.
TDIT is a game to enjoy the journey in three different envrionments: Purgatory, Heaven and Hell. Each one of them having a great variety of monsters and enemies, and I'd love to have a "collector's book" inside of the game containing information about each enemy, its name and maybe a short description of it.
I haven't finished the game yet, but I knew it was my duty to write a review of a game I'm so passionate about.
