Just beautiful! I played this with my girlfriend and we were both in awe looking at the artwork. The mechanics are also very nice and the story is nice.

Short and visually stunning. The puzzles are somewhat easy. Beautiful sceneries with a strong movie-like feeling!

It was quite a pleasant experience, the environement, artistic direction and soundtrack all make for a very pretty game. My one qualm with it is that the puzzles sections were too long and messed up the rythm a bit. It's far too short for the full price of it, but I recommend picking it up on sale ! (It also shares points with Sommerville which is a good thing in my opinion)

After 5.2 hours, I finally finished Planet of Lana. Planet of Lana is a cute cozy game, a stark difference from Alien: Isolation. The artwork is gorgeous and I am in love with the color palette for the bright blue sky and the healthy green grassland. The orchestra is beautiful and it paints a picture of a wide expanse filled with upland plants, and there are children running merrily, beneath the clear blue sky. Everything is peaceful until we get invaded by aliens. Planet of Lana is a journey about reunion. Doing whatever it takes to find out what happened to our friend, and making new friends along the way. Everything is out to hurt you and it is kinda similar to Alien: Isolation. I cannot do much on my own. The game has a lot of camera zoom ins and outs, reminding you of how insignificant you are and how big the world actually is. And perhaps, it is games like this that reminds me how insignificant I am compared to the world. But within this insignificance, we still make the long journey to reunite with people we want to be with and make friends along the way. And that is significant. Planet of Lana did not take long to complete, but it made me feel a lot.

Not a bad game, but without neutral reviews I can't give a positive. Among the things I didn't like: - There aren't many interesting situations - the whole journey felt mediocre - QTEs don't fit the game, introduced quite late, and near the end there is a QTE sequence that feels endless - Very subjective, but design of the main character is too bland - The main character continues to loudly shout names even in the close presence of robots, is she stupid or what? - Irritating voice acting on the part of the main character

If you want a beautiful game that has excellent music and somewhat easy puzzles. Then this is the game for you. From the emotional music to the gorgeous background this game is definitely worth the buy and play through!

A very enjoyable side-scroller with light puzzle elements and a good story. Imagine if "Inside" had less dark themes to it. I highly recommend it as it was rather enjoyable and can be finished over 1 or 2 days.

It's a fairly slow game, more about vibes than anything else. There's a lot less to the early puzzles than I would have preferred, but then some of the later ones are quite pleasing. Quicktime events come out of nowhere in the late game, and I wasn't a big fan of that. An amazing setpiece was happening all around me, but all I could do was look at the button prompts to see what I was going to do. That said, it did really get my blood pumping, so there's that. The voice acting is cute and effective, and the use of color and minimalism in the designs is really really good. It's a gorgeous game both visually and aurally. It reminds me of Another World, a game from the early 90s, but is less bleak. The game is shortish and won't be for everyone, but no game is. If you want to just enjoy existing in this world that you see in the trailer, and do some puzzles and exploration as you do, then grab it for sure.

Another beautiful world set in an alien and lonely world. The game reminds me of games like Journey, The Last Guardian, Far: Lone Sails, Inside and Jusant. You follow the character on their adventure through an unknown world while following a very simple message. It feels lonely and dangerous but also beautiful and calm. I really really enjoyed all the different level designs and how alive and real this world felt. The game mechanics and puzzles were a lot of fun! You really have to appreciate this setting, there aren’t a lot of games featuring an environment that feels so alive and where you, the player, only plays a tiny part in it. *tiny spoiler* I loved the giant creature that was shown in the back- and foreground of one environment. You feel like it will devour or chase you any minute and feel like it is watching every step you take just for you to find out that it probably didn’t pay any attention to you. You are too small and too irrelevant for it to care about you. I really really loved this detail!

Planet of Lana is a short cinematic platformer with simple controls and a grand scope. The story is first person and not explained so younger children may be confused as to what's happening, but as it draws to a natural conclusion and satisfying end, it provides an engaging narrative. As a simple platformer, with a classic feel it has a low entry point for movement. However puzzles with the small companion may prove hard to think through. The animations are sharp, the music is epic and the art style is moody and exciting. Great for kids getting a taste for more narratively engaging games. 8+
