Cristian Manolachi (he's using his shell account, Success Games to try hide his identity to further mislead gamers) is using the same game here. Nasty stuff, trying to scam gamers like this. There's no actual game here, it's just the forest FPS template with a wolf thing in it... it's just an empty scam game, to try con gamers out of a few cents. Atomic Fabrik/Cristian Manolachi has shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk. Fimbul Winter is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this asset flip.

I paid .27 cents USD for this in a bundle. I want to love this game as the concept is there. A rather hunky and shirtless hermit has to survive Fimbulwinter. The final winter before Ragnarok. You start off with some goats, some hay for the goats. Some firewood and an ax to chop it with. Your wolf, I'm guessing fylgia, will lead you if you press F. Most of the time. I made it through several days of chopping wood and lighting fires. Feeding goats and following my fylgia. The game does show a lot of promise as the draugr apparently can teleport right over to your little cabin. But there's no direction as of yet. Gathering too many flowers stalls the game, so I gathered and placed the flowers, then didn't need told to run away. It does have spooky atmosphere, though if it is the final winter perhaps some snow? I honestly thought my character had died at one point and entered Vanaheim. It appears to need to bake in the oven a while longer. Still, if you like Nordic lore, there's nothing like those red eyes glowing in the Nordic night.

Honestly, not even worth 0,79€....literally not even as meme game. Apart from this, sound gone after like 5min playing?

There is nothing much to do in the game tbh. You just collect logs fire and sleep at the nights again wake up and redo the same things. there is a unstopping goat sounds that you even feed them with the hay but goats still crying which is annoying. I could not continue to play the game because I was bored as hell. Not sure maybe thare are somethings fun but the game did not felt it I can't recomment this i am sorry but i am glad it was a cheap game

A masterclass in game design, I could really feel as if I was in the harsh winters of Siberia. The chill that ran down my spine when I first saw the Fimbul Walker was enough to put me in hospice for months. The ingenuity of having the goats howl in the night to awake you from your slumber is a masterful take on the common sleeping trope. And don't get me started on the replay-ability, I can't stop coming back and chopping wood to keep my comfortable cabin warm, and to outsmart the Fimbul Walker. I am in awe at how well Success Games is able to capture the feeling of real terror, while still giving the player a warm hospitable family to go back to, and maybe, just maybe, it was never the logs we chopped, but the goats we feed along the way. Thank you, Success Games, for your service.

Since this was JUST released like a week ago, I'll give it another shot after an update. Right now There s no way to save as far as I can tell. I've had to restart a couple times because the game kept freezing. I stayed kneeling down after picking up flowers, the character stayed in a running animation even while not moving making me unable to do anything. If you have to get to a certain point to save, I think it would be useful to allow you to skip certain tutorials so you can go ahead to the point you were at in the story. settings only brings up the ability to change graphics quality and resolution. Starting the game you only have one button and that is to start the game. It seems like there's an interesting story to be had, I just hope they can fix the problems that make it really hard to play.

Absolutely broken game, they need to call it what it is, Log Chopping Simulator. Definitely worth the price though.
