Las aventuras de Pedro en español. Este videojuego es genial!
Pedro's Adventures in Spanish is a fun game for people who are learning Spanish. At times it feels very much like a game you might have player in middle-school or high-school, but that's the charm to it. The game play is simple and the Spanish that is used isn't too complicated, but it still manages to be an entertaining game. The voice acting is great, super clear, a little over the top at times, but I loved it. As an adult there are times when I would think to my self, "Man, I feel like I'm playing a education game for kids", but then right after that I would think to myself, "Necesito beber agua y comer comida! Ah, Y dónde está la llave?"
Overall, it's a fun game for beginners. It's a short game, but it's entertaining and super helpful in the learning process.
The only real con to this game was I wish I could have explored more. Hopefully they make a sequel, or this studio makes more games like this.

Just finished this game and I absolutely loved it. I'm definitely a beginner and am only now realising the description says it's better to have some prior knowledge (I do, but limited), but it was still very doable. There are definitely a lot of words I did not understand, but I was able to figure out what they meant and what to do based on context (for the most part). I initially wanted to finish the game without looking up translations or gameplay from other people to figure out the next step, but nearing the end I caved as the Spanish seemed to get a little more advanced and I ran around aimlessly for a little.
The description says it's approximately 10-20 hours of game play depending on experience level. Personally I finished it in seven, althought it would've taken a little longer (possibly 2-3 hours of roaming around not being able to figure something out) if I hadn't looked certain things up or translated certain words.
I got 177 out of 178 achievements so I'll definitely be back to figure out what that last achievement is. Additionally, once I've improved my Spanish a little I'll go back to play the game in full because I'm sure I missed a lot of fun extra's and dialogue because I just did not understand what it meant. Because of this, and because of how useful the game was, and how I genuinely learnt a lot of new words, I would say it's definitely worth both the cost and your time.
Overall, I would highly recommend this game to everyone except absolute beginners (as in,, zero knowledge). Immersive experiences like this force you to figure out what words mean based on context and clues, and it really improves your language.
