At 7:30 September 30, after a 30 minute artillery barrage the German 24TAC main forces went on the offensive known as Operation Typhoon against the units of the Group of General Ermakov, thus preempting the beginning of the Soviet attack on Glukhov scheduled for the middle of the day.

Tankless Germans must attack a desperate Soviet force backed by T-34's and T-50's. Lots of challenges for both sides and of a manageable size.

This was one of the first DLC i bought for the game, I have 122 hours in the game so far. I wanted an early war DLC. (and the T-50) It is very challenging for the Soviets, you have to use your tanks as a quick response force the entire time, and requires you to know how to coordinate armored units, how to defeat AT guns, and how to cycle units after battles to hold the line. I bought the DLC when I had 20 hours in the game, and I learned a lot from this, I went from being slammed as the Soviets to getting total victory with only the German HQ units left. And don't think the T-50 is a mere side grade to the T-34, you need as much speed on and off the battlefield for this scenario, plus its the super rare Soviet tank to have an actual copula, you your tankers can actually see. its good for beginners to play the Germans in this one due to you having plenty of infantry and artillery of all types to throw around, it teaches you valuable lessons on how to properly position assault guns and anti tank units to maximize coverage. If your new and want an early war DLC, this is a nice and small (Yet still challenging) scenario with many memorable battles. 9/10

You know what Im here for, I know what you're here for. The T-50 light tank, she really does shine in the enviornment she is put in, with large open fields with minimal hiding places, and she works well with her sister the much more common T-34. I am only on turn 1 so I'll edit this review when I finish. So long story short this particular battle has an underequipped (to fight tanks) german force fighting a Soviet dedicated tank unit, you want to use your tanks as aggressively as possible, charging them directly into enemy lines, as your infantry alone will be wiped out in short order if left without tank support. I have not played the german POV yet so I'll be back at some point for that.

The quality of the customer reviews for this game and its DLCs are generally high. That is not a coincidence. This is a serious, adult game (not that a smart kid couldn't figure it out), requiring patience and practice to slowly, slowly master. I review the reviewers and give them two thumbs up, and, by extension, applaud the game. Repeatedly. No, I'm not Ukrainian. No, I'm not a relative of the developers. But I'd be proud to be either at this point.

Really enjoyed it,my first campaign as germans was a draw and as soviets total defeat,but it doesnt feel bad to lose as there was many memorable moments in the campaign and i will learn from my mistakes in my next playthrough,great stuff.

If you're new to the game this is a very good dlc to learn how to fight armor if you play as the Germans. For the Soviets its a stuggle for your infantry but if you can use your tanks right you can pull through. The map is particularly fun to play on, the massive open planes give you ample room for long distance engagements and the towns give you somewhere to hide from all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tanks. Overall a really enjoyable 1941 dlc.
