I played an hour and I wasn't able to get into serious gameplay. it feels like day slowed the progression to force people to pass the 2 hour mark.

Little Witch in the Woods is more about brewing potions than magic. That said, it's pretty, addictive, and so far has an interesting story.

Little Witch in the Woods is an absolutely charming game with adorable graphics that feel nothing short of perfect. Every scene is a visual delight, filled with cozy, magical details that draw you in right away. The dialogue is witty, and the characters are incredibly endearing. As you play, their stories gradually deepen, making the game equally enjoyable whether you're looking for a light, relaxing experience or something more emotionally immersive. The creatures you encounter are each uniquely designed with their own quirks and mechanics. The feedback they give to your actions makes gathering and observing them genuinely fun — you’ll find yourself wondering, “What kind of creature is this one?” with genuine excitement. All in all, it’s a well-crafted, delightful game that’s easy to recommend to anyone who enjoys a bit of magic, heart, and exploration.

Wont store saves properly, it automatically deletes all game progress at random.

This game is genuinely really fun to play, but I'm pretty sure at this point the devs have abandoned it after taking our money, just like many other "Early Access" titles. EA is a scam, I'm not doing this shit again. game could probably be an 8/10 minimum if the devs finished it, but in current state 0/10 cannot recommend. Do not give these devs your money, they will take it and run.

20 hours at review time, taking it real slow, could get farther if you were direct. Doing quests to get villagers and making a lot of potions. No bugs, no issues with controller, very text dialog heavy so lots of reading, luckily the story and characters are great. Don't know/care about any early access drama or future updates. the game is what it is today. And it is cute pixel art, adorable interesting characters, fun story dialog, entertaining game play loop of gather, make potion. But yeah even I can tell where some things are just shortcuts - the vendor just standing in your yard made me laugh though. My main up/down is "is this worth the time and money?" and, yes, so far it completely is. Hope it stays this good throughout.

Its a very cute game but as others have mentioned. The updates have been very slow and the devs have kept quiet. I won't go so far as to say the game has been abandoned but the lack of communication and very infrequent updates makes this a very a game you will want to avoid until it finally does leave Early Access (if it does). For now the updates are still coming out but again, infrequently and with no communication from the developers. This one is very much a wait for full release. My review will update if and when its fully developed.

Good game. Kinda sad at how slowly it updates, but I still love the game.

The art is extremely cute and I was super excited for the full content that's supposed to be in this game, but unfortunately it's been in Early Access for 3+ years with the most minimal updates done & little to no info from the devs on when things will actually be completed - they post like 2 - 3 minor bug fixes every couple of months & call it a day. Kind of feels like they took the excitement & money from everyone who supported it coming into EA and then just dipped out, which is a shame. If things change I'll update my review later, but for now, I can't recommend it and would actively try to dissuade anyone from spending full price on a nearly abandoned, half-completed game.

This game has been in early access since May 2022, with the original planned full release being in 2023. We are now more than halfway through 2025 and there's been minimal progress towards full release. I've been waiting to invest more time in this game for the full release, and I now regret buying it for how long it's been sitting in my library. I don't recommend anyone give this company more money until they actually finish it. EDIT: They're now allegedly releasing this game early next month, but I'll wait until it actually happens to play more and perhaps change my recommendation. It's a little shady to announce the full release after all this time with a price increase, and telling people to buy it before full release if they want to avoid that price hike. Hopefully it actually releases though.
