I just bought this game and I'm already addicted. Probably because of the fact that I played Satisfactory as well

Great game, if you have liked any of the factory automation games (Factorio, Satisfactory, Foundry) and you enjoy city builder games then you will love this game. Super addicting, its one of those games where you tell yourself just have to finish this one thing then you can save and quit for now, but then one thing leads to two things leads to hours later. Watching your diggers terraform the island is quite satisfying as well. I tried this game about three times before I became hooked. It can be frustrating at times when you are learning the controls and how to place each building and what input goes where. But just take your time and watch a few YouTube videos its well worth learning the game. I think this game is by far my favourite factory automation game out right now.

Factorio jumped in bed with that Soviet building game and this is the disabled offspring. Great fun.

It's good, but it might not be what you expect. I went into it expecting something akin to Factorio, but it's honestly a bit closer to something like Oxygen Not Included. You proceed slowly and deliberately, and the focus seems to be less on rapid expansion and more on sustainability and improving what you already have.

Highly recommended. I've played many games like this over the past 25 years. I bought this one without much expectation, but it turned out to be amazing. After like 10h gameplay, i just alt tabbed to buy supporter pack then i noticed devs already spent more than 6 years on this game. The way you can terraform and change the world with automation is very unique. I really enjoyed how the world changes over time. The gameplay is incredibly smooth and satisfying. There is already a lot of content in the game, revolution is tough in a good way. The quality-of-life features are better than what you see even in second or third games from big studios. I hope coımpany can keep this game further, wish them luck!

재미 있지만, 난이도가 너무 어렵다. 빌드가 한번 어긎나면 회복하기 어렵도 처음부터 다시 시작이 답

The game is still in development, but it is already huge and very polished. After 100 hours, I am still scratching the surface, but it doesn't feel frustrating. I think it requires a certain state of mind. I would call it "sandbox" as opposed to "campaign." In a campaign, you learn how things work, follow the tech tree, reach the goal, and that's it. CoI does have a short campaign in the beginning with a set of goals, but it just teaches you the basics and allows you to build a simple, sustainable system. After that, it drops you, and you are free to do anything you want. There is a downside to it: too many options, and you have no idea what to do or, most importantly, how to do it. You do an exploratory run and end up in a ditch. You reload, try again, and repeat until you reach another sustainable system. The tech tree is enormous, and I am not sure I will have the oomph to reach the end of it, but this is exactly the point: "the movement is everything, the final aim is nothing." Just relax and enjoy the ride. A distinctive feature of CoI is terraforming. Mining requires digging out ore and disposing of junk, which gives an extra degree of freedom, allowing you to shape the island and build bridges to access its distant parts. The physics of dumping are nicely implemented. There is a chance of getting into a death spiral where the only way out is to reload a previous save, but it's a good lesson to learn. The graphics are nice; the machinery is quite detailed and satisfying to watch. Some aspects of the game are simplified—for example, there are no electric grids (electricity is available anywhere, anytime), no animated people stumbling around, and very simplified communication with the outside world—but for me, this is not important at all. I think it is a good balance. An attempt to "simulate everything" can lead to a prohibitively steep learning curve (I am looking at you, Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic), so you have to draw a line somewhere. I am not sure what the developers are up to or where it is going. We live in a strange time when Early Access games are so big and elaborate that they already feel like finished products, yet they still keep growing. I guess this is like the difference between movies and shows. I liked a few of the early seasons of The Sopranos, but I don't think I ever finished the series, and that's fine with me. We played approximately 1800 hours of Valheim but stopped after the Mistlands update. It just didn't feel right anymore, but 1800 hours of fun for $20? I will take that anytime. So, yes, "the movement is everything, the final aim is nothing."

> Launch game for the first time > "Just gonna see how it starts" > 12 hours later > Entire island reshaped, logistics spaghetti, population barely alive > Forgot food, forgot sleep, waking up in 3 hours 10/10 Great game, sleeping finally
