Good game!
Career and Horde are fun but challenging on single player. (much better with friends)
Has a cool pvp mode.
Ran in to some bugs the devs have fixed some and the rest are being worked on to my knowledge.
Game is maybe a bit expensive for what you get but I have been talking to one of the devs while streaming it and they have some good plans for it moving forward. So the money is going toward a good team who have good intentions to make the game as good as possible.

I love the art style and the music is really catchy. The game play isn't too hard but also not easy either. Definitely recommend if you like puns and beating stuff up!

Got to see this game grow, played it during beta and the devs have always been quick to respond to any questions or problems I had in their discord. Having a team that cares is great.
The game has a unique retrofeel to it and the music matches it perfectly. The art style is really satisfying to look at. Controls are smooth, a fun game to play especially if you have friends to join in with you.

Absolutely phenomenal game with super fun action and a great storyline. Super simple controls that allow you to mix and match attack combos and create super fun fights. I always enjoy hopping on to knock out some paper bois

Pretty cool game; haven't played it a ton yet, but so far it has felt really smooth and looks great: has a really cool artstyle with the mix of 2d / 3d environments / retro effects.

A lackluster game with a lot of fundamental gamedesign problems, which is ironic considering how hard this title goes for a "classic arcade" look, without understanding what makes arcade style games work.
Probably the most bizzare inclusion here is combo counter, which is the main way you gain score in this game. The combo counter, as well as score, is completely worthless as far as I can tell. Raking up high numbers on the combo counter doesn't provide any benefits aside from increasing the score, but the game doesn't even aknowledges your score throughout the levels or on the ending screen. Also with how broken combat is, it is possible to keep raking up combo indefinetly with by repeatedly attacking enemies in the air. You are also able to get combo off of beating invulnurable enemies that are in recovery animation, which doesn't contribute to interesting gameplay and seems like a bug. Overall it all not only makes the scoring not matter, but also ruins the only objective determiner of how well a player preformed during their playthrough.
Combat is wonky and unthoughtful. Your 1-2-3 ground attack's last hit, uppercut, doens't have priority over enemy attacks, which mean that an attack that otherwise would launch enemy into the air is ignored by the enemy attack. This makes it unsafe and unreliable. Throw is worthless, I would even say detramental since it doesn't extend combo counter. During the apartment boss I tried to throw a canister by standing right next to it, but instead the caracter threw a box behind it, which means it also has wild
targeting. Air cancel that the game tells you about in the very beginning breaks the combat, it trivialises enemy encounters. Your dash attack is unsafe because again, it has no priority over enemy attacks, so during enemy attack you not only will not be able to interrupt their attack, but will get hit also. The game has (for some reason) ability to guard enemy attacks by using throw with perfect timing. Mind you cannot cancel dash or uppercut into guard, so that leaves you with very limited moveset.
There is also a bug that makes your caracter to turn right on their own, sometimes, just a heads up.
AI is stupid and sometimes either stand off screen, or gets stuck on obstacles.
Enemy attaks has very little or not at all impact in the caracter, you won't sometimes even know whether you took damage.
Level design is another gripe I have with this game. It is too long and features a lot of dead space.
The esthetic of the world with pens and papers as it's inhabitants to me seemed underexplored, like just a human world with only some slight differences.
To conclude, both aspects that made me interested in this game, its esthetic and gameplay, both left me quite dissapointed.
