This game can be fun.... But i swear this game will incorrectly register your swing speed and accuracy if youre winning just to make you lose the lead. Its so strange how i can do perfect on the driving range, perfect for 10 practice swings during a match and then do the exact same swing for my shot when im leading by 4 strokes and it magically is very slow or very fast and goes right into the water. I want it to be realistic, if im winning let me win dont mess with my shots to try and make it more fair for the computers. Its incredibly irritating. Unfortunately the swing speed is never consistent, what is the perfect speed one hole is going to be too fast or too slow the next hole to make sure you hit the rough or sand bunkers. The way the wind affects the ball seems to never be consistent either, 10mph to the left wont affect the ball so much when there are no hazards in that direction it seems, but if theres water, that 10mph wind will throw your ball like a 25mph wind right into the water. The greens seem to determine how fast that ball is going to roll depending on if its towards or away from the hole. On a hill leading towards the hole the ball seems to stop rolling quickly, the same type hill away from the hole and that ball takes off like its a drag race car, on the same hole, same green, same game. Swinging slightly to fast or slightly too slow some how causes a professional golfer to totally chunk the ball or scuff it and destroy the entire shot. Really its a bit extreme how a slight slow or slight fast swing affects the ball. Back spin rarely ever seems to work even with the epic spin enhance ball. Only time it really works is when it will drag my ball to a hill that runs it halfway across the green away from the hole. Ive wasted entire games testing these theories out smacking the ball backwards and all recreating the same shots over and over. Would be nice if it was consistent rather than adjusting how everything works from hole to hole to make things unrealistically difficult

Really fun and entertaining. They seem to have this game pretty well fixed and responds very well to what you are trying to accomplish!!!!

I wish I could give a mixed review, the actual physical golf part is 'OK', except for absolutely zero feed back or real constructive input on what good swing timing is while using the stick input method but the Career mode/AI scoring is so busted/rigged its un-enjoyable sometimes. AI difficulty doesn't do anything except rig their scores around the number it says in the tooltip...however none of this is impacted by course conditions, there could be a 15MPH headwind and the AI will still be -6, rain or shine. How hard is it to build lists of LPGA/PGA scores vs hole handicap ratings, and build your AI difficultly curve around that? there is already a real life rating system & handicap system for you to use. The commentary can be immersive...but is actually grating at times as well, having Luke or Ryan mansplaining in your ear for the first 2 min of the hole your playing or the out of place 'Shes loving the lie of this ball' while the ball is in a trap or unplayable, its even better when doing PGA rivals where they seem to love punching down at the player while slobbin down for the guys they are advertising for...idk...luckily there is an option to this feature off...I just wish the commentary wasn't so bad in all the wrong ways or I'd leave it on. I'd give it a solid 6.5/10, I never play sports games but golf is one of my real life activities I enjoy so I figured I'd try it out.

Career mode is great! Very fun game.

Gameplay is fun, but I cannot recommend games that do not support Steam Cloud. Nothing is more frustrating than finding out that all your progress is gone....

It's not 2003-2009 but it sure is fun while you're cooped up indoors during the winter! Some people say the career is a little shallow, and it can be, but compared to EA its all really about the same general idea. I just like that I can play golf and pretend I'm working toward the PGA. The graphics aren't stand-out amazing, but at least its not polygons and sprites, the faces and animations could be better, the grass and water could look more real, but the physics really aren't bad, and it feels good to play 18 somewhere so , 7.5/10 for me.
