Mister Furry: Hot Muscles review
By DonTheMenace99 ViolentMinds13
Mister Furry: Hot Muscles is the sheer pinnacle of video game experience. Using the advanced knowledge and understanding of the Russian night club scene, combined with the enormous concentration and effort of these developers have created what could be described as the game of the century. The intense use of media, and its phenomenal story, paired with the phenomenally realistic graphics often makes it impossible to distinguish between reality and the world of this game. It truly is a masterpiece, and a magnum opus capable of standing the length of time to become one of the most cherished games of all time.
Mister Furry hot muscles has changed Russian and global nightclub culture in ways one only with an intimate knowledge on the subject such as myself could begin to grasp. Throughout this epic of a story, I was subjected to the highs and lows of a man who grapples with his sense of self, his identity, and more. The unnamed protagonist of this story begins as a short fused, angry boy, and finds himself coming out the other side of this story as a zen, relaxed and reborn man. His various antics shown throughout the story depicted are a raw and emotional viewing of what man can do at his worst, and what great length he can reach at his best. It is without doubt that I will be returning to this game at least yearly, just to relive the riveting story once again.
When I spoke with George Orwell, in my review of his novel 1984, he cited Mister Furry: Hot Muscles as a great inspiration to his work. Red Six Development and Male Union have undoubtedly laid the groundwork for a major part of modern art and literature. Their immense attention to detail pairs perfectly with the masterminds behind the story, whoever they may be. I cannot stress enough how much this game has meant to me and countless others. It is without any shadow of a doubt that I can say this game has changed I and ViolentMinds13’s lives.
If this game were a novel, it would be up with the likes of both tolstoy and tolkien, perhaps surpassing both, but as a game it easily outshines and casts a shadow to games such as ‘ legend of zelda’, ‘grand theft auto 5’ and ‘red dead redemption 2’ in sheer playing ability, and ‘elden ring’, ‘the last of us’ and ‘fallout 4’ in terms of storytelling. for Mister furry: hot muscles redefines what it means to be a game, as it reimburses and moves forward with the game platforms of the past to create what truly is a masterpiece. It creates a world, and through it encompasses all of the previous video game development, storytelling, through film literature or game design, and becomes the absorbed knowledge of what a story is to us.
Since the dawn of video games, it seems the thousands of games available here on steam, and elsewhere, have all waited and prepared us for the spectacle that is mister furry: hot muscles. Games of this complexity rarely arrive, and when they do it is more rare they are presented as affordably and underrated as this. Its incredible sense of culture, values running through it, as the player is given the opportunity experience all from the dusty planes of the egyptian desert, through to the foggy mist of the dark forest, players may delve into a game like no other, immersing oneself into a world of pure magic and mystic. Never before have i, a professional game review icon, been presented with the beauty of such a game. Never in the three decades of enjoying and playing video games have I been shown a game of such enormous importance. If there ever was a game capable of changing the social situations of the world, and bringing society together, it would be mister furry: hot muscles. I cannot describe to you in words, how meaningful and deep this game can be, and for those like me who choose to delve deeper into a story to find oneself, mister furry: hot muscles is perfect, as its surface story, once scratched, contains the power to change one's life for the better, rearing into ones soul in a fiery explosion, and taking refuge where our passions lie fondest. It truly is a remarkable game, as I've said twice before the pinnacle of the industry, and likely to be the most important and founded game to ever have graced the gaming industry and culture alike.

An experience. I dislike when the large creatures jump on me instead of letting me play. It was fun to free the dungeon masters though. Highly recommended, multiple levels, high replay ability and great value.

Unironically one of the worst games I've completed. I played it for a stream last night because I thought it'd be a good funny one-off stream while I was taking a break from a different game, and I didn't expect it to be very good- I expected it to mostly be a junkpost meme game that was made ironically, and while I wasn't wrong about that per se, you can reaaaaally tell the people who made it didn't even try to make it fun.
Every single level is just "collect thirty hot milks" (haha get it, its a white hot sticky substance in the furry game), "collect x amount of other thing" and one or two other non-collection based tasks that are just as tedious. There's also no minimap whatsoever, so navigating the massive maps to find key locations like the portals you need to reach to escape the levels is super tedious, and both the music and the soundscape of the game are actually rancid. Like, a bunch of memeified classical tracks for the OST, and your character says "thick white sticky milk" whenever they collect the hot milks- which, to remind you, you need to collect thirty of them, so you have to listen to that line at least 30 times per level, or at least 120 times total for beating the game.
Also, the game pretty openly uses AI content- the "scrolls" you need to collect in some levels use AI art, and that makes me suspect that there may be other AI assets in the game as well. Either way, everything aesthetically just looks like they either used AI or got free to use assets and slapped them together with little to no consideration for how the game would look. There's basically no gamefeel as a result and it feels really cheap, like the people who made this game didn't care about the end result whatsoever.
The enemy AI is also pretty poorly programmed- the sneaking mechanic is broken because you can just crouch and stay right up next to the enemies without them caring in some levels, and the only penalty for crouching is moving kinda slow. It might be related to the lighting or something, but then there's instances where if you crouch while they're chasing you without hiding anywhere, they just stop attacking, or attack you once before stopping even though you're still right in front of them. It's either broken, or really needlessly complicated and not well explained.
Also, nothing in the game is really of consequence? If you get killed you can just respawn without losing your progress, and you don't lose stamina from sprinting, so there's no real reason to not just sprint around constantly and brute force the levels until you get all the milks and whatever else. Dying is barely an inconvenience if at all, so you don't get punished for it in any way beyond possibly being mildly inconvenienced with respawning in a different location. (Which, btw, they don't respawn you in a SAFE area either, they just respawn you wherever and sometimes the enemies will immediately charge you and kill you as soon as you respawn, which is pretty annoying)
Overall this game feels really lazy and passionless, and as a result it wasn't fun to play in the slightest. I beat it in under 2 hours (despite not skipping cutscenes) and was bored out of my mind as soon as I got used to the game's gimmick. It was so boring that I watched Ratatoing onstream afterward as a palette cleanser, and I can confidently say watching that for the third time was a more entertaining experience and a better use of my time than playing this.
Genuinely, please don't buy this game, even ironically. The developers did less than the bare minimum, most of the content in it isn't even theirs and what little they did do is done without even a shred of care or effort. It was not funny, or entertaining, or interesting to play- it was just a shallow, meaningless experience made to profit off of people looking for a funny ironic purchase.

Best game I have ever played it really touches on socio-economic subjects, like racial segregation, homphobia and the evils of the human heart. This game has really given me insight on the creators beautiful mind. He is a true artist and deserves the credit he deserves. Furthermore I wanna bounce on his meat UWU.
