good , kinda cheesy metal songs, Variable difficulties let you set the challenge level that suits you, They added a few songs which was a welcome addition. It would be awesome to thrash the skeleton foes listening to In Flames or S.O.A.D.. I'm betting yhere are some established bands that would give publishing rights to Boss for ONE of their songs

[12/2024] Quest 3 with Touch Controller Just played the tutorial so no long term experience but I had some bugs like missing text on in game buttons that I had to guess what's continue or back and in the difficult setting all menu text was missing. Gameplay: There were too many skeletons in the tutorial so I had no sense of rhythm and so I waved the controllers wildly and still achieved an A rating. The music was good, but I couldn't see any connection to the skeletons.

God of Riffs does seem to have a lot of potential. The recent 0.8.3 update brought many QoL updates, which significantly improved the quality of the game, and the developers are quite active on their discord server.

It's pretty good for an early access title. There's a lot of potential here. The collision detection feels like it's a bit off (either that, or I'm not good enough at it yet). Playing with an Oculus Quest 2 via link cable. Can't wait for the custom song support when we can hopefully add some thrash and death metal to it.

This game honestly has me with mixed emotions. I went into it really wanting to like it but at this point I'm not too sure. The game performs very well just like you would it imagine it to, it doesn't have any bugs or performance issues that I have came across. The biggest issue currently is that it feels unoriginal and simply generic. The game is too similar to beat saber and I feel like that is going to really hold it back and lead to everyone constantly making comparisons between the two. The sound of the sword hitting the enemies does not really pair well with the music and there are currently only a couple of different enemy designs present in the game.. When I am playing a similar game like beat saber there is something satisfying about the sound of hitting a block that adds to the rhythm and game play. I'm giving this a positive recommendation because it is still in early access and currently only has a price tag of $5. If you really enjoy beat saber, rock style music and want to have new surroundings this game would probably right up your alley, although right now there are only 4 or 5 songs. While this game is going to have the popularity of beat saber hold it back I believe if this continues to be improved upon it could get a large following, especially if the team behind it could get a popular rock song licensed that is not available on beat saber (without mods).

The music is fantastic, areas apart from the dungeon which was just bland compared to the others, were really good. The major issue I had with it was how much the controller of the vive vibrated, I couldn't find a way to turn it down but that might have been just me. Can't wait for updates!
