Great. Some bugs, but great.

Cute and challenging (especially if you're trying to get all the stars) puzzle game. It's Lemmings, with potatoes. Get it!

Played on a Quest 2 over Air Link, with 22 levels completed at the time of this review. A VR title that feels like "the full package" of what it tries to be. Humble concept on the surface, but a delivery that sets it apart in the market. Near flawless polish, great attention to detail artistically, and a consistency that fellow VR players will know is lacking in most games, even today. The challenges posed by these levels are very engaging, due to the unique combination of VR navigation and interaction, on top of the more traditional Lemmings-type game, but set in a 3D environment. With this, you will be juggling and multitasking, but with a limited range of vision, which really keeps you on your toes. A round requires you to pre-plan, predict and quickly adapt to changing situations, and even sometimes inventing your own solutions on the fly. One example of this, that I found myself doing more than once, is quickly throwing down jumping pads to re-route spuds that I had lost control of, in tandem with controlling the main group. Pulling that off is intensely satisfying, because the game didn't outright intend for me to do that, but I had the agency to make it happen. If there's anything to criticise, I would say that this game is too good to have any association with mobile game tropes like 3 collectible stars per level, and the level select screen's design. Though the game does very well with those things, it is clear to me that the developers are more than capable of annihilating those tropes with their own unique take on either.

I have played my fair share of the free demo already, and was looking forward to the games release. The game is great fun to be honest, it doesn't come at a very hefty price, which I think is a nice bonus. The gameplay is fun, the controls are very simple and it's easy to understand how to play. The artstyle and characters are beyond adorable and the levels start to get decently challenging rather quickly. Another thing I really like is that you do not have a single clue if you're beating the level the intended way (if there even is an intended way) or if you are just absolutely winging it but somehow still saving all the little potatoes. The one in game thing that can sometimes be a little annoying is that whever you finish a level, the "level complete" screen is in a set position, meaning if you've been looking around while playing, you're gonna have to look around to find it. (This can also be difficult for people who are not used to being in VR). Another thing I really hope the devs plan to add is custom levels. The game on release has 60 levels and I am not sure if there are plans to add more, but having a custom level creator would allow for the game to have near infinite content, which already sounds great. Overall I would definetly recommend this game, its great fun.
