Try to Remember is a fun and original memory game where you help a detective remember details about a scene. The scenes change in every game, so despite being a short game, it can be replayed multiple times. I also like the quirky graphics, that seem to emulate PS1 graphics.

Punishingly hard! An enjoyable, quick game that will test your observational powers to their most extreme limits. At the same time, has a nice, laid back atmosphere, with pleasant art and music. Worth a couple bucks to give your brain a difficult workout.

Cute proof of concept. At $1.99 you know the game is going to be short. I 100% completed it in an hour. What are you getting for $1.99? The premise of the game is simple: you're applying for a job at a detective's office (at least, I think). To get the job, you need to prove you have the keen memory of a detective. You are dropped into one of three scenes and have 50 seconds to learn everything you can about the scene. After the 50 seconds you are pulled away and asked a series of multiple choice questions -- what colour dress was the woman wearing? What time is it? etc. Get three questions wrong and it's game over. Get through the questions and you move on to the next scene. Complete all scenes and you beat the game. The only additional mechanic is that if you don't know an answer, you have a limited number of time rewinds to check the scene. Beat an entire scene without getting anything wrong to earn bonus rewinds. The aesthetic of this game is great. Extremely pixelly, low-resolution N64 era 3d. I love that everyone has ugly Goldeneye-style faces with big heads. I think this is the exact level of detail you want. I also love how angry the detective gets if you get a question wrong. More games should yell at you if you do a bad job. Anyway, I appreciate that it doesn't overstay its welcome, it's fun, and looks great. Totally recommend it, very funny. Would love to see this mechanic integrated as part but not all of a larger, longer game. In the mean time, great job by the developers.

Try To Remember is a trivia game, where you want to be a detective and in order to become one, you need to check a room for 50 seconds and answers some questions to a detective. I really like the basic idea. You get different rooms, which has different things in it and these can change to play through to play through. The questioning is also straight forward, and at the beginning it has some suspense too, thanks to the detective's sudden reaction. This is indeed great, however my biggest problem with the whole game, it only has 3 rooms and after you finished everyone of them in one play through, you played through the game, and I think this is not much for the game, because you can basically play it through in half an hour. You can do multiple plays to see the differences and after some time you can get a pattern of it and the game won't be that difficult, also the game has some secrets, so you can find some content in it, but it don't have much. About the graphics, I really like this old school look of it, like in a PS1 game. Also, there are some really good and smart ideas they added to the visuals, like the sky box, which I liked it a lot. Sadly some object are not that clear to see, even from close range, but thankfully there is a zoom button in the game. In general, I liked the visual of the game. Sound design is pretty simple and there are not too many sounds. There is one music in the game, which somewhat can't get old for me, but some sound effects are really scaring (don't anger the detective), but all right. I could say, that the sound design is really poor, because it doesn't hold much, but I think it's enough for this game. The controls are really simple enough, however the story of the game is not that much, but that's also expectable. Try To Remember has a cool idea and a pretty good system for it, but it could have more rooms to explore and check and more secrets to find. I can recommend the game for sure. For 1.6€, I think it could be a little bit expensive because of the playtime, so get it on sale. I hope the devs will either make a sequel or a new game with a similar idea. Pretty good!

Enjoyable, but very difficult. There's a lot of things to remember, and you never know what the detective is going to ask about. Then he insults you for not noticing something you didn't know you were looking for. I guess you're supposed to become more observant to avoid the insult? At any rate, I'm sure my memory will improve as I keep trying.
