Was going to give a reluctant thumbs up, but all prior reviews gave it thumbs up and Neocense is not a perfect game. So reluctant thumbs down.
Neocense is a short puzzle game. World puzzles are not hard and beautiful. They're the best part of the game. Then we have puzzle battles. Timing and precision are important here so Neocense's clunky controls become annoying, After that come assemble the picture puzzles. They are very simple, but pictures style is very different from the previous sections. It sticks out like a sore thumb. Story... yeah, there is some unempressive story.
Also glitches. Had to restart once because of progress-preventing glitch.
On accessibility. Game features puzzles with color-coding. I'm not colorblind, but had hard time distinguishing colors during puzzle battle. So if you are colorblind, think twice before purchasing.
On representation. Main character uses wheelchair and this is woven into gameplay in meaningful way. Thumbs up. On the other hand representation of same-sex pair is fairly lacking, as if it was added just for a tick. Not OK.
To sum it up. Short simple puzzler with inconsistent art, clunky controls, glitches and weak story. Buy only if you are out of better options.

Short and sweet little puzzle game, cleared in just under two hours. Costs less than a burger and deserves more user reviews. More than worth it for the visuals alone. Oshry sends his regards.

Neocense is a great short puzzler game. The puzzles aren't too difficult, which is great for a casual puzzler like me. It makes you feel accomplished without feeling frustrated.
The thing that stands out the most is the world of Cha. It is beautiful! So many little details to look at as you work out each puzzle.
Great job from a student dev team.

Neocense is a very creative, clever, and enjoyable game to play. The gameplay is simple but enjoyable, and it makes you want to play more and more. At times the puzzles were tricky but all-around delightful. I would recommend this to others who enjoy puzzles as I had a lot of fun playing this game.

This team of talented students deliver a heartwarming experience. The colourful and inspiring environments are the perfect canvas to work around some basic but entertaining puzzles. The flow is spiced by some decent boss fights.
Where the game truly shines is in the plot department, a very touching and appealing story about hate, love and the uselessness of violence.
Keep up the good work!

Decent little puzzler. Nice artworks, unique protagonist and simple but challenging puzzles that make you feel clever for completing. Would've liked to see more content here as there were some interesting mechanics that could have been explored further. The story was more than it needed to be for this time of game and I appreciate that. It added some emotion and investment to the time spent playing. At a higher price point it might be hard to recommend but at a little over $5 it's a couple hours of entertainment that I felt worth it.
