Needs to rework its guns, the shotgun feels like a wet fart machine due to it's inability to pierce through groups of small enemies and ~3 foot range.

I almost beat the game the hour it came out but i had to take off the headset, i decided i wasn't gonna continue because i didn't want to adjust the headset. So far it's fun but the finally level is kinda BS. you have to manage your weapons or your gonna wonder "why the hell do i have my shotgun and not my grappling hook". The movement is gorilla tag, you need to swing yours arms to move or bounce of the walls or ground. You WILL sweat. My biggest complaint is the shotgun range feels short. Other than that the games very fun.

i like the the game but i find it a little annoying that i have to grip my controllers so hard just to holdout the gun/grapple thing
and how i must press down the joystick (im on valve and only got 1 base station.)
other than that i like the game and would recommend playing.

Its a great concept, and a good game. The only downside is that the shotgun feels inconsistent and weak.

Ever since I had discovered the demo for this game I was very excited to see that there was a release date. I played it for roughly 25 minutes and I have beaten the game. I love it, there isn't much more to say other than if you want to have more fun with this game, get creative, bounce off walls just to punch an enemy than hook into their downed body and blast'em before they can get up. I would like to see more of the walking mechanics used here in other games, instead of using static movement (like gorilla tag) it uses springy movement and that is probably the wrong term. but this game is worth the money if you want to just kill something while being a gorilla.

I first found out about Rilla Shotgun from a YouTube video, but I decided to buy it when my friends got it. This VR shooter is amazing! You play as a rather bouncy gorilla, which really helps with speed, and the locomotion is super fun—especially since all the games I play involve moving with your arms (Gorilla Tag, Yeeps, etc).
The game is incredibly hard as you progress, but it's also super addicting. I remember feeling so upset but also determined to beat it, and when I finally did, it was so satisfying. The grappling hooks are my favorite part. They make swinging through the levels a blast, and the combos you can pull off with the shotgun and grappling hook are just awesome.
The Doom-styled graphics give it a cool, retro vibe, and the atmosphere really pulls you in. For only around $8, I'd totally recommend it to anyone who loves VR. It's fun, challenging, and definitely worth the price.
