Enjoyable mystery game. Good game even without the patch, highly recommended. The music is very well chosen and the characters are sweet and endearing. The setting is fascinating and I loved learning about it as I solved the mystery. At times, I even wished there was some sort of library so I could just take in more information about the world.

Edit: Game so enjoyable, u try to solve mystery around the city and help the citizen while providing beautiful music in the process. Game also gave u some sort of info broker incase its too hard for u, and u dont have to check for the broker if u dont want to get spoiler too easliy, so u can play it rather hard or easy with info check. The character progression felt so alive to the point i can tell their lore the more im deep into the game, because the game make u to understand about the people around u to progress. I have seen enough, im satisfied, now the only thing left is for me to finish the game.

[strike]After a recent update to the english translation of the game, the uncensor patch prevents the game from launching when installed. The only options to play currently is the censored version. I'll be glad to change this review to a positive one once the issue is resolved and the game returns to a playable state.[/strike] Edit: The updated patch allows the game to run now, and the game itself is worthy of a recommendation.

I want to like this game so much; but the translations are god awful. 私はこのゲームがとても好きになりたいです。しかし、翻訳はひどい神です。

Pretty much just a visual novel with a bit of hentai forced in. Not a bad 'game' but I personally wouldn't recommend it, especially for $20.

Marvelous game. I played the demo and didn't understand s**t since it was in japanese, but loved the art and the music. Now that it's translated, with full play experience I can totally recommend it. Not just the art and music, but the story and gameplay are simply great. It's not your average RPG or VN, it's something completely new. If you liked Robolife-Days with Aino, you'll love this game. If you didn't, you'll still love it. Play it with the patch from OTAKU Plan's webpage. The only thing I think could be improved is the quality of the uncensored images, they kinda look like made in MS Paint at times. I long for the day when japanese games come uncensored from the source...

Translation has been significantly improved, you can actually understand what is going on most of the time. But it's quality is amateur at best, which is understandable. I like the game and could do some editing on translation writing, since it has a lot of typos and sometimes things just don't make sense. Particularly, explanation of Chronos Call makes zero sense, and I think it's because of the translation that some meaning was lost...

I love Mechanica and I want to support LOSER localizing more of their games, hence why I made this purchase, but I can't in good conscience recommend this translation to anyone looking into this game. Yes, the translation has been improved and it is much better compare to the release date version, but that only goes to show how bad that version was. As it is, the game is still riddled with problems, grammar and typos being the easiest to fix among them. You can literally copy paste the entire script of this game into google document and fix the red underlined words according to its suggestions and bam, instant improvements. It is that easy, yet ever since the major overhaul in July otaku-plan hasn't released another patch and just left the game in this confounding state of almost-passable. I hope the dev can look into a better localization company than the notorious Otaku-plan for their next game. Edit: OK it's much, much worse than I thought. Overhaul my ass, it feels more like some big chunks are fixed while the rest are left as they are (I'm still being charitable here).

Whoever translated this game used machine translations (MTL) and/or had a poor grasp of English. The text contains frequent typos, wrong pronouns (something that is very common with MTL), and broken English. It is therefore hard to recommend to English speakers. Here are a few examples from early in the game: 1. A "citizens" attempts to pickpocket MECA-NICA:
[Citizens] "Ach,...I got caught." [MECA-NICA] "Self-defense punch" [Citizens] "Ugh!..(fainting)" [MECA-NICA] "Thank you, master! You saved me!" [MC] "Uh? That punch knocked me out...really?" [MECA-NICA] "I'm saying you have to report this thief to the police!" [MECA-NICA] "Take me to the closest station, master!" [MC] "(I better be careful with those guys...)"
2. Advice about how to reach the Alleyway:
[Citizens] "If you follow this was you can reach the Alleway!"
3. Meeting MEMEMEME:
[MECA-NICA] "...(oh he's fucking us around)"
4. The MC as described by a friend:
[Celfy] "He is an incarnation of sexuality. Living Incubus." [Celfy] "His vessels carry lotion but blood, and his middle name is Penis."
