I came here for cute fox girls in the snow… …stayed because the story hit me harder than the winter cold. It’s 50% wholesome romance, 50% me realizing I’ll never survive a VN without emotional damage. Also: tail floof physics deserve a GOTY award. 10/10 – promised snow, got feelings instead.

Otherwise this game is just a massive meme with the english translation.[/spoiler] Chasing Tails -A Promise in the Snow- was a short, albeit very cute and meme worthy VN, and by short I mean I 100%'d it under 5 hours, only having to look at a guide for 1 achievement. If you're in for something cute though its worth it on sale. The characters are adorable and like-able. I played this with timed choices on, but it really doesn't affect much. This game really needs a remake, for a couple reasons. Reason 1: As much as I enjoyed this game as a meme. It has a story with potential. The horror elements are sprinkled in randomly and may as well not even be in the game. Not that those horror elements are bad. One actually startled me and that almost never happens. It just barely contributes to anything. Other than these characters existing together. Reason 2: It is unfortunately far, far too short. For how much charm there is in the meme translation and the main characters, it just isn't enough. Its not a chapter system. It is pretty much a straight shot from beginning to end and some of the endings feel like if there was a chapter system that they would go into other stories instead of just end. [spoiler]Reason 3: The NSFW DLC. They put so much effort into 2 of the scenes and the other 3 feel like literally nothing or that they were just shoehorned in because they gave up. This is the one sleight I have towards this game and you would be straight up better playing this with the adult content turned off.[/spoiler] Just my personal opinion. Kudos to the devs for making me actually invested in this short meme VN. It is absolutely worth it on sale, and I'm looking forward to that [spoiler]Crocodile girl[/spoiler] VN I saw in the menus. Will recommend as an entry level VN. I rate this game a Rin Appreciator, out of a Kumi Enjoyer.

Neat little yuri vn, wasn't expecting nsfw because half of the vns on steam have no sexual content but have it marked to. Not good as a horror game which was also a surprise, feels like every other "psychological horror" game since ddlc that are really just "Cute thing BUT LOOK OOOH ITS SCARY!!!" if it was just yuri i'd reccomend

The story is very interesting and gripping and it was very exciting for me.

The novel is Yuri monster hunter, haunting type visual novel. Its start of as light hearted and goofy, but progresses into a darker adventure about family legacy, the struggles to live up to expectations and to be there own person. The romance is light but cute for two people finding attachment and affection for one another through their struggles and pasts. With writing being lively with characters having entertaining and enjoyable personalities. It all becomes an entertaining piece of written work that carries the story till the end and wraps it up well. It's not super deep like war and peace, but but goes beyond its weight in what it's trying to do with a satisfying end. Chasing tales has an amazing high quality ost. From the low key relaxed tones to the spooky and epic sounding songs. The composer went all out to making songs that can carry through scenes for long periods of time while still being entertaining. Some of the songs sound like they belong in Nier. Its a quality you wouldn't expect from an indie game especially from an adult game. The art is very well done and feels like a Japanese visual novel with it's anime style and chibi art. The background look like real places that re lived in with people or nature. The 18+ art is nice 3d likeness to it with characters having varied body types. Overall it's an enjoyable Yuri VN with a great soundtrack and good story.

Absolutely wonderful game. I got very engaged with the story and at times I felt something deep within me (whether it be sadness or ~good~ feelings). This game is definitely worth your money!
