A fun little game with a solid blend of combat and puzzle solving, with some light platforming. It's not ground breaking by any measure, but if you're looking for a game to sit back and relax with for a few hours, this is a good one.
Pros:
- The combat is a bit challenging to understand at first, but as you play you gain understanding of enemy attack patterns, plus a few skill upgrades that quickly make it a lot more manageable.
- Puzzles are well designed. They force you to think but are never feel frustrating or unfair.
- The game falls pretty squarely into the category of "easy to beat, difficult to 100%." There's optional objectives (collectibles, time limits) that allow you to increase the challenge if that is your thing.
Cons:
- The game could use just a little bit more polish with regards to level design/debugging. I encountered one area where I got stuck in the architecture and had to restart the level. It was mildly frustrating in the moment, but not hugely detrimental to the game experience overall.
- The price is a bit steep for what you get, especially with regards to game length. Definitely a good "buy it on sale" game.
