as of current its very fun (playing on hard ammo is oddly not much of an issue) its all about combo-ing melee and shooting to keep ammo up- I've been using electric weapons and plasma weapons as I deemed myself as a mad scientist. Its work the discounted price, AT CURRENT. once this takes of and things are adjusted and it gets more attention it will be amazing. I havent found any bugs(game issues) yet.

A tentative positive feedback for now.
I only did a few early levels to sample the early access game.
Gunplay and movement is quick.
Ammo early on if you're like me a 'shoot shoot shoot' kind of guy can run out.
I have begun to play with the abilities and there are plenty of special abilities to invest in. (grenades, bulletstorm, unleashing a barrage of missiles etc)
Equipment does seem to come with traits that should allow you to specialize.
You can carry up to 3 firetypes and I encounter such bullet types liek 'kinetic, electric and explosive'.
And equipment traits do play with it.
Production values are simple but effective.
The world has a cartoonified warhammer 40K meets Metroid vibe.
The protagonist and the leading lady are not voice but their headshots vibe with the Warhammer 40K universe.
Extra bonuses for:
- no modern day American/Corporate nonsense.
- no microtransactions or the likes.
Temporary conclusion:
- Should be a fun simple ARP.
- Needs some more content meat attached to its bone i suspect.
- I hope the storymode becomes interesting.
- Probs needs to have more ammo/health drop.
- I'd focus on having good/meaningful loot drop over mass given the nature of this game.
- An alternative would be to not go for 'loot drops' but resources/money that drops. And with it you make armor/weapons and add mods in your ship. Adding to the 'Custom Power Armor vibe' of the main character's style of fighting.

Excellent fast paced game, enjoying the EA version so far. Can't wait to see how this develops over time. A solid EA experience.

Dreadhunter is an early access loot game where the rudimentary inventory is glaringly tedious to work with and lacks simple fundamental features, plus rewards get reduced and even eliminated if you over-level, despite that there is no option or available content to avoid being over-leveled. Yes, an ARPG where leveling will block even getting its always tedious to sort loot, and the only "fix" offered for this ill-conceived design choice is to just start a new save, as though your time investment is as worthless as the low-level grind they suggest you repeat to try and get some value from your time with the game (in case that wasn't clear, the level grind here is also painfully unrewarding).
So, if you are considering joining this early access game to play it rather than merely to support it, I'd advise against, until these basic mistakes are corrected, and the game does not make playing it feel more about putting up with problems until the dev finally deems them a priority. 20 months now its been sold to players, and you can't mark/sweep junk in the inventory, nor can you have missions just run level-appropriate so you have something to do and some way to get drops at higher level. Those seemingly trivial, frankly expected options are key to this kind of game's value, yet remain priorities beneath the dev's notice. Their time is just that much more valuable than the player time that's wasted, I guess.
I wasn't going to review this one, as I bought it knowing from videos that its action looked like it was pretty limited vs its presentation (all too true even with more leveling/investment, sadly), but these easily fixed problems should not have existed at the beginning of early access, let alone after 20 months, and interacting with the devs has proven unproductive.
The price tag isn't the issue. The limited mission list isn't the issue. The game kinda just sucks to engage with at present, and the project continues to be quite slow moving. The devs seem entirely content telling people to wait if they don't like what it offers yet. Take their advice.

has potential, but Im not gonna lie, the price is a hard pill to swallow for something thats still in early access/development.
