The gameplay loop is alright, and the different weapon builds feel meaningful, but it gets a bit repetitive after a few hours of shoot, dodge, shoot, ability, shoot, dodge, etc. In my opinion it throws too much meaningless loot at you. After clearing a level you come back to your ship and have to sort through a dozen pieces of armor and guns, any one of which will give you something like a 1% boost to some stat, and deciding which to sell.
But what really killed it was when I was looking at the character portraits, something was off. Everything looked too clean and there wasn't a consistent style. That's when I realized some of the art in this game was AI-generated. Immediately uninstalled. If you can't hire artists, don't make games.
