Apolune 2 is a hilarious and shocking resource management game where one player (or more) experience life on an asteroid mining team in deep space. Tethered to a heavy space station, the game evolves as you mine ore for money, trade and upgrade your station, alone or with your friends.

Apolune 2 is a fantastic game that takes players on a thrilling adventure through space. With its simple, yet addictive gameplay and charming 8-bit adjacent graphics, this game is perfect for anyone who loves arcade-style games. The game puts players in control of a spacecraft with one or two astronauts attached to it, and tasks them with shooting down aliens that are floating around the screen. What sets Apolune 2 apart from other arcade-style games is its attention to detail. The game's controls are intuitive and easy to use, allowing players to quickly jump into the action and start blasting aliens. The graphics are great, with bright colors and detailed sprites that give the game a retro feel while still feeling modern and polished. Overall, I highly recommend Apolune 2 to anyone looking for a fun and engaging arcade-style game.

This is a light, fun arcade game in the spirit of the classics with cool (if not challenging) tethered motion. Definitely play with a friend. The cooperative is the thing you want in this one. It's so, so simple but it rewards you if you keep playing, and it get's pretty chaotic once you reach a certain threshold

i just spent an afternoon hanging out with my buddy and playing this game for hours, talking and having a blast! the game is casual enough to be able to relax and play together, struggling with the jetpack and upgrading your astronaut and station, so much fun!

Apolune 2 is worth buying and investing your time into. That's really the bottom line. It has a retro feel but clearly way more complicated both technically and the in game mechanics. It's a modern game that looks retro which is a big plus because it adds a real good aesthetic. It's also full of discovery as you 'learn' the game. You have to give it time but once you figure things out, it becomes more and more exciting. Pretty cool game and easily worth the price.

I came across this game first on the Atari VCS, and with a Steamdeck now i also purchased it on Steam. I find this game most enjoyable as a "wind down" type game, though it can get hectic as time goes on, but for the most part, it's easy to put on some tunes and get lost in the mining and fighting. The game is simple, you're a deep space miner, you mine for resources to sell to buy upgrades to you and your station. The game as single player is tougher as it's meant to be, i mean really you're a single guy dragging around a space station, it's not going to be easy, the cream is it's multi player, where it's fun to work together, have one person repairing the station while another fights, trying to double up resources, and it's much easier to move the station with more than one person. The gave injects humor into the in game comments as well as all craziness can happen the longer the game goes on. If easy pick up and play gameplay, pixel art, good multi player, and just a more chill and relax atmosphere game is up your alley then I would really recommend Apolune 2. Between Steam and VCS i have well over 4 hours of game play experience.

Solid base for a game. I would say that there is definitely some polish to be done, but it's a great initial concept. The control scheme is unintuitive, but it's a space simulation, so I feel like having to learn how to control a character in that environment is appropriate (which is much the samr way I felt about Green Hell's UI experience). It makes sense that a noob in space would move erratically and not fully be able to control their movement until they got a feel for it. It can be frustrating, but a little learning curve here and there isn't a deal breaker for me. Some things that may need some work: - Steam achievements do not seem to be working yet (I've started 2 separate single player games and still don't have the achievement). - The only way to close the game on the Steam Deck is to manually exit. - It feels like your tether has waaaaay too much influence on your character's inertia. It's very difficult to regain control after the station gets hit by an asteroid, and the you have to spend more than a couple of minutes just trying to get back to where you were. I would prefer to see the movement be more responsive to my input across everything in the game, I think. - I feel like it's actually too easy to stay alive. My first run lasted well over an hour, thirty minutes of which was me actively trying to die so I could see what happened at the end. Also, with it being so easy to stay alive and also no way to save, once you start a round, you're locked into it for however long it takes you to die, and I feel like hours is too long for a single, unsaveable playthrough. - I can't seem to use items on the Steam Deck. Pressing the 'a' button as indicated on the start screen for item use just fires the weapon, even if I cycle to a different item using the 'y' and 'b' buttons. Overall, it's a great start to a fun game. It could use some polish here and there, but has a lot of potential to be a really fun party game once it's been balanced a bit. Wildly flinging through space, mining asteroids and fighting off aliens could be a real good time.
