I don't even recommend getting this game on sale at a deep discount unless you are having trouble sleeping. This game works better than sleeping pills. Guaranteed to help you sleep. Sure the game looks nice, but this game is extremely BORING and slow. It's part Idle or Auto-clicker and part button smasher when you get to the bosses. "Idler" should be one of the top tags; this is not a fighting game at all. It starts out well, and I really like the artistic design for everything, but quickly you'll see that every level and every monster all play out the same way. The difficulty for each monster doesn't mean anything, to the contrary, the game gets easier as you unlock the achievements. While the monster's attacks do behave differently, the strategy for each monster is identical. First, level up your monster to the point where it can heal itself, doesn't run out of attack juice, and has a decent attack; Then easily stomp through every level; Then repeat with next monster - do this for all 9 monsters. There's not enough variety in game-play to justify having 9 monsters. After maxing out the first monsters, dread set in when I accepted that I was going to have to go through that slog 8 more times. You have to pay attention when starting out with a monster, but once you level it up, you can run it while doing other things. In order to get 100% on the achievements it is a massive grind of doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over. There is no reason to max out your Giga other than the achievement. It has a terrible gameplay loop. You can partially walk away for a lot of the grind, but you always have to interact with the boss fights, which are also extremely boring and easy. So easy that you don't even want to bother with them because they are even slower than the rest of the boring game. A few of the achievements are extremely annoying, and you have to pay attention to the boring grind when achievement hunting those especially annoying achievements. The frustrating thing is that it's not a full Idler, so you have to interact with it every 15-20 minutes or so. Most of my hours in this game was from the game waiting for me to click a button when I walked away to do laundry, cook dinner, or fell asleep. The only reason I stuck with it after the first 2 hours was to get 100% achievements; without achievements I would have quit after my initial session and never played it again. I wouldn't be so negative if I could have run the game at 2x to 4x its normal speed.
