Amazing game! I truly loved it. Had two times i almost had to quit because of buddy, but it all worked out good in the end! Do reccommend. Had to push through the first bit, cause the controls werent working optimal. Quite a few missed reload grabs and missing gun grabs. But the story is def worth the trouble!

Thoroughly enjoyed this game and story, even though it was Last of Us but Ellie was useful and a good boy. I even went back to play Arizona Sunshine Remake, which actually has more enemies (like Shaq zombies), and pump-actions that can be holstered on the hip. If you ever see Shaq get turned into a zombie in real life, just run, you ain't taking him down. I have some recommendations for the developers though: 1. Recoil. My ego says I could lay down laser-focused fire from an M249, full auto, and with only one hand... But only my ego. 2. Weapon damage variation. It seems like most weapons offer the same damage. If someone on bath salts can take 20+ 9mm rounds, I think a zombie could handle more than two. 3, Different enemies and scenarios. Would be great to have to rely on rifles in the open and side arms in narrow halls. 4. Vertigo did a great job with the different hands, different bags, on Metro Awakening. More weapon slots and grenade storage. 5. Let me use selector switches, underbarrel attachments, holo and laser sights. Having a bag to store these and swap out between weapons would be great. Am I asking too much from a simple shooter? I don't think so. I believe in you guys.

Completed in less than 10 hours, Wonderful game. I would recommend this to any VR game players, The graphics are phenomenal. The combat is top-tier. The sound design is wonderful. Not many negatives to bring up, only thing is I wish it were longer, which is really a compliment.

🧠 My Brain: "It's just a linear arcade shooter." 💀 My Heart: "SCREAMING IN VR." I was honestly a little scared jumping into the campaign—it has that arcade-style structure where you're mostly walking through linear levels, grabbing a bit of loot here and there, and there's no real decision-making involved. That said... it was a blast. The action feels smooth, the gunplay is satisfying, and the atmosphere keeps you on your toes. Even without deep mechanics or choices, the game pulls you in and makes the whole experience really enjoyable. It’s simple, but incredibly fun. So far, this is my #1 VR campaign game I've played. I haven’t tried the other modes yet, but I’ll update this review once I do.

Great game for arcadey zombie head-popping fun. Guns feel good to hold and shoot with responsive reloading grab points and satisfying audio feedback (i.e. swapping mags and pulling the charge handles feels good and sounds good). Protagonist does a lot of talking and joking, but it's not bad and actually got a chuckle out of me at times. Yes, you can pet the dog and there's physics for doing so. No, it never gets old to pet the dog. Story is all it needs to be, meaning providing sufficient motivation to keep moving from the entrance to exit of each level and not much else (seriously though, who's playing this kind of game for a story, no matter what it is). Highly recommended to turn OFF weapon weight in the options and adjust the Yaw of your weapon hand until holding guns feels more comfortable. I also recommend playing on Adventure difficulty at first until you get the hang of how zombies move their heads while moving and can reliably pull off headshots before bumping it up, but that's up to you (they hit hard on Survival difficulty and I don't even want to think about Apocalypse). You can adjust the difficulty after you start the campaign, but you have to go back to the Main Menu to do so on the chapter select screen.

fun but short. They put a lot of love into making the dog behave like a doggy. As someone who misses his best friend very much, it was even therapeutic. Playing fetch, feeding treats, pets, and give paw. It's no escort mission either .. in fact you're the one being escorted. Only thing I don't like that the first game did and this doesn't is you can't hold guns while the holster or back slot is occupied. And tbh I'd rather find more grenades in the world than craft stuff. I recommend it on sale but again it's too short to pay full price.

One of my favorite story mode games in a while, I play a lot of both popular and underrated vr games and this right now is probably in my top 10 for campaigns. I played Horde Mode a lot with one of my friends and it was very fun as well, but I definitely recommend the campaign. I will be also playing the 1st games remake soon, so I have high hopes on the story in that game as well!

If you liked the first game, you'll really like this one. I had a great time with Arizona Sunshine 2. Although the gameplay feels arcadey and some of the writing is a bit groan worthy, it is still a genuinely fun game with some moments that actually tug on your heart strings (and they aren't undercut with a joke, which is a very good thing). Definitely pick this one up if you haven't already. It's a great time! P.S. Listen to "Not Ready To Die" from COD Zombies during a horde section, you won't regret it

my rambling, long review: this game could just be a non-vr linear story fps if not for a few mechanics. I finished the story, i liked it. you will scrounging constantly for guns and ammo from the time you start, all the way to the end of the game. there are maybe six or seven pistols, and four or five long guns that go on your back, and "upgraded" versions of each that you see later in the game, or a few earlier if you really scrounge (there are also like three or four unique weapons, some you can holster, and at least one you cant). you get two leg holsters for smaller guns, one big on your back, and one inventory "slot" per hand to hold a food or an item like a grenade. vertigo games seems to be iterating on their mechanics in all of their games, which is good. so, like i said, it plays like a full game, complete with narrative and ups and downs, which is fucking REFRESHING to see in a vr-only game. if you play on easy and dont do simulation reloading and stuff, you can probably finish it in maybe 12 hours. I did almost all of it solo, with simulation reloading and movement on i think difficulty setting 2 of 5? so fairly easy, and felt balanced. I highly praise this game, and if you like standing or sitting and shooting stuff in an adventure story game (like half life) that you can ALSO play co-op story, then I put a maximum price on this game of like.... 35, maayyyyybe 40 usd? I dont remember how much i paid for it, but after putting 25 hours into it, i feel like it actually has replayability to play with a friend, so 30 bucks is absolutely worth it, not like a lot vr games, no offense, other devs. my main issues with the game are based around how grabbing stuff in vr works and targeting what you're grabbing. its not a huge issue, but its definitely a glaring flaw. if you do play this, i suggest trying to play on sim reloading for as long as you can - learn the guns, their reload cycles, damage rate, etc, because thought HAS gone into them, and when you switch to arcade-style reloading, it'll really unbalance the game in your favor, and encouraged me to burn through ammo much faster... which brings me to my second issue: ammo. pistol ammo max is 150, rifle 200, and shotgun 30 (there are others, but unimportant to this point). while those may seem like large numbers, they are absolutely not. there arent a *ton* of zombies that come at you most of the time, but there are times when they really come at you, and you have to manage your ammo for those times a bit by not just shooting indiscriminately. which.... sure, its a story game about a zombie apocalypse and you're survivor, but its still a *game*. 99% of the time its fine and fun, but if you start using full auto or rapid fire at all, you're going to absolutely chew through ammo. which brings me to the second part of my second issue: scrounging for ammo. at first, sure, its fun. you open doors and trunks and specific crates and find ammo. but... then it never stops. it's absolutely well built into the game design and programmatically, but i think what i really craved while playing was just bigger ammo pool sizes, bigger magazines, more zombies at once, more creativity from weapons over time, and more enemy variety. dont get me wrong, i had fun and will be playing more of this. but, to my own relief, there were no zombie animals, crawlers, or even really bosses (which maybe was another one of my bigger disappointments). all in all, absolutely worth a play, or even two. if you liked games like half life or cod or whatever, where you go forwards in a story and shoot stuff and do (very basic) puzzles and spring traps along the way, then this is for you. if you can pick it up for under 25 bucks, you'll be absolutely getting your money's worth, save for who-knows-how-good-vr-will-get-in-the-future - BUT FOR NOW mid-2025, its a pretty good experience, if you're into what i've described. for understanding my taste, other vr games that I like are "down the rabbit hole", "half life alyx", "propagation", and valve's "the lab". im currently thinking about buying: "subside"(ooooo, its like real swimming. waiting for a sale, not sure about deep water or amount/progression of content), "into the radius 2"(looks fun but are enemies all the same soulless things? also looks pretty limited/short as early access), "bone lab"(ive wanted to play this studio's stuff for a decade now, dont know why i havent, maybe i dont know what the *game* part of the bone games are?), "iron rebellion"(why is it a competitive pvp and not a co-op adventure with a sprawling world?!), "the midnight walk"(need to look at it more but looks scary), "toy trains"(could be fun and chill but not sure how much content there is), "kayak vr: mirage"(i like kayaking, but could be very overpriced), "the room vr"(not sure i have the physical space needed), the "moss" games(when i feel like playing more of this type of game i might get them both, or a good sale), "pools"(too scary for me), and a handful of others.

Aiming felt 'off' on both this and the first game. Well I use a quest 3 and figured out theres a pitch and yaw setting. Set pitch to the first negative setting, -.1 or -.01 This completely fixed the aiming and it feels really good now.
