so i figured a game for $3.99 can't be very good. well, was i wrong! one of the best games i've played at any price, not based on anything but story and ending. those two things were perfect! controls are very very simple, graphics ok. it took me 2.7 hours to finish, but i'm old, so.... there are a very few shock scares in the game, which actually gave me chills, once went all the way through me. if you pay attention to the subtle clues in the game, i'm sure you could finish it faster than i did. don't quit this game until the credits roll. up until then, there are a couple surprises, one which you do not want to miss. worst feature is that you cannot save the game. so make sure you have up to 2 or 3 hours to play it or it's back to the beginning. now i'm going to see if i can find whatever else the Devs may have created and play those. i give this game 5 stars out of 5, in spite of the inability to save.

Fairly quick game to play. Pretty neat story. Got frustrated looking for a few items at the first 2 houses and almost quit. Finally found them and was glad I finished. You can finish this is right at hour or maybe faster if you find the items early on instead of walking circles like I did. It is a basic, find and click style game, and when you find the items, a "memory" will play with it. Good little game. It took me 59 minutes to play all the way through.

A poignant 1 hour experience or less. Some objects, like the umbrella and dog collar, could lead to frustrations in finding them though and extend the time finding them.

Good little walking simulator. Takes about 45 minutes to complete fully. The tale is well told and there's some light horror throughout. You do visit essentially the same cabin half a dozen times over with just the contents of the house changing. And in between each cabin you're just running through the woods by and large. I feel they could have condensed it into less houses. But that's me nitpicking. Definitely recommended on sale. Also, the piano theme song is absolutely fantastic.

Sometimes these walking sims are great, other times they are like this - not so great. I have to say, that i was entertained, and I was completely prepared for it being super linear. Anyways, the game is alright, it keeps getting more and more strange, and omnious. But what the Devs then does with that build up? yeah, NO! That is about as lame a cop-out as "oh it was all a dream". As an author, let me tell you - that right there ladies and gents, is lazy writing, they wrote themselves into a corner and couldn't figure out how to end it - and so why not use a safe trope? - they won't notice we aren't all that original. I notice. And that right there is not good enough! You gotta see your project to the end, or you gotta go back and edit something so the end doesn't come off as this disjointed and anticlimactic. I feel like I was left with the bill on a less than mediocre date. Come now, you can do better!

Another somber, quiet, emotional and sad little indie game about childhood memories, strange happenings and dark secrets that seems very personal to the dev; using the genre of stripped down walking sim/exploration games and the collecting of items which trigger monologues as its only gameplay mechanic. The identical layout of the cabin the player explores over and over again might get a bit monotonous or boring to some players, but I thought with a scale and ever-changing details like this, it doesn't quite overstay its welcome + its handy to know where to look and where to illuminate things instead of running around aimlessly in buildings with different floorplans. The voiceover and writing are alright, the game looks quite pretty at times, the reflection on certains objects in particular, and I enjoyed the slightly creepy scenes that do use some tropes and loud bangs, but no real jumpscares - one of the more subtle appearances got me good, and I appreciated the small instances of light horror in my drama-walking sim. So yeah, there are loads of games like this, I'm torn about the ending (although I do appreciate the foreshadowing in hindsight) and will possibly never play this again, but I also had a good time and don't regret the euro and hour I invested in the slightest. (7(+)/10) My only technical issues were that once you crouch, the crouch button is extremely unreliable all of a sudden so god knows when you're allowed to stand up again + the mixing is off, as the short "scare sequences" are waaay louder than the really quiet voiceover.

I really like this game. I had played Faded Grey so I was looking forward to this release. It isn't much game play since it's just a walking simulator but I really enjoyed the story. It also had a few spooky parts that were well done which was a surprise. Overall for the price this is for sure a game to check out. Nice short little mystery walking sim with a hint of hidden object. Relaxing soundtrack. Can play it in 30 minutes if you rush through, but if you want to get all the hidden items/achievements it takes about an hour. There's a good walkthrough available too if you get stuck. Sad story. Trigger warning:
the dog dies, and there's attempted suicide
Sneaking through the gates of Site 8, you are confronted with your past in a game that forces you to confront memories surrounding your family and the events that unfolded at this, otherwise, beautiful location. The game dev has created a truly atmospheric world. The first person vantage, along with sights and sounds, really make you feel that you are in this environment. From lush flower meadows to abandoned cabins, the game is full of places to explore and items to find. As you relive memories and remember the past you are confronted with horrors, both familial and otherworldly. On more than one occasion, I felt a shiver run down my spine. These moments offer a welcome tinge of horror. So much so, that I would love to see this dev create a full on horror adventure in the same vein. The use of sound and sound effects in these moments (and across the game) is very impressive and adds so much to the atmosphere. Plus, if you enjoy fun achievements (as I do) then you will find items to collect, places to visit and things to see. I look forward to seeing what the dev creates next.

Decent, short adventure walking sim with some small horror elements. Playtime: 30-60 minutes for one playthrough. Downsides: graphics aren't great, as well as the performance at it has a quite unnecessary plot twist at the end.
