It’s quite a challenging fun little game. I recommend playing it with someone and taking it in turns. Trying to beat the level before the person you’re playing with is a lot of fun!

Simple controls so quite easy to pickup but very hard to master! It's simple looking but it works well and lets you focus on the gameplay, and you'll need it!

Really fun pick up and play game. Music and the controls are very nice, plus it's very cheap! Levels do get difficult quite quick and sometimes the difficulty spikes and then drops after - so maybe not perfect if you don't have patience but deffo recommend if you're looking for a challenge!

Fun little game that requires more mechanical skill than I seem to have lol. Making my way through the levels though! Absolutely worth the £4. Decent music and a nice art style.

Simple yet challenging little game. You control a little rocket and move with left and right arrow keys and accelerate with space all whilst avoiding walls and obstacles to get to the finish line. Has unlocks in the form of rocket ships too based on the time it takes you to complete the course etc
2D rocket maneuvering simulator
In Rocket Drift, you fly a rocket in 2D levels into the exit. Unlike usual in these kinds of games, you only need to reach the goal, not land elegantly. No hitting any walls though, that's an instant game over. Every level has gravity to work against but it's not the only force you are facing: to 3-star a level, you also have to be fast.
Be quick and precise
The ship turns (arrow keys or 'a' and 'd') relatively slowly, so propulsion ('spacebar') needs to be administered with care to avoid walls. Level restart is instant (much appreciated!) with 'r', so you can keep the flow going. There's altogether 25 levels to master. First, levels only have immobile walls but later there are moving or rotating blocks, keys to open locked passages, reverse gravity zones and teleporters. The most unusual though is the no-propulsion zone, needing some advance thinking. The challenge racks up but changes from being speedy to (mostly) being precise - later levels I often only had to complete once to reach the 3-star time, although many attempts were still required.
Very small screen
While you can play in windowed or fullscreen modes, it does not help with seeing farther. Already in the first level you cannot see the first obstacle because the screen does not move fast enough. Though the levels are usually short, this annoyingly necessitates learning the levels by trial and error. The later levels are often longer, making this issue worse. Though, the worse are the teleporter levels, where the whole view suddenly changes. One irksome level has a no-fly zone right after a teleporter, needing a precise amount of speed to reach one of the target areas. Being a particularly long map as well, this was the only stage I'd complain about poor level design.
Yes-fly zone
The stars double as currency to purchase cosmetics for the rocket. To get the ones needed for achievements, I had to grind a bit but nothing too much. Completing all levels with three stars last me 2.5 hours, and I needed some 40 minutes more to grind enough stars for the last achievement purchase. Altogether, I had fun and the price is quite fine for the content! (I got it for €1 sale) ~Twistorian Curator~
