I would 100% recommend this game to anyone who grew up playing Epic Mickey, it brought back so many memories with a fun and new twist. I enjoyed how much love was put into the game. Now there are some bugs and glitches and crashes but with a quick google search I knew how to fix them. So to those who want that return of Disney Magic from the Wii, this is perfect for you.

Fun adventure game. You choices impact how your game experience will be. Fully paint, thin, or a mix of both. Worth the price. Certainly a steal if you can get it on sale. Check out Variety Gaming Podcast on YouTube, Apple, or Spotify for a more detailed review :D.

Fun animation, great attention to detail, and the music is nicely done. If you enjoy Mickey Mouse, Disney, and/or have been to the parks, then there's a lot of fun references and history. If you don't enjoy any of those things and can let it go, so to speak, its still a fun and well crafted 3D Plaformer. My only negatives are that it probably has too many irreversible decisions, lack of manual save points, and you cant return to many areas. I think that hurts the fun factor of just exploring and hunting for collectables. I personally don't need branching narratives and consequences in my Mickey Mouse game.

I know this game is refurbished, I never played the original so I can't compare. But playing this game on its own was amazing, had just enough challenges, action and adventure to keep me intrigued without being frustrating. The story line also kept me hooked, as a Disney fan, it was fun seeing all the different timelines of Disney come together to make one world.

There are downsides like boring tasks, no voice acting for dialogue and no way to return to most locations, but that's not a problem with this remake, but with the decision of the original creator of this game. As a remake it's GREAT: - graphics + - mechanics + - and nostalgia +

This is my first time playing Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. I didn’t play the original game before, so everything was new for me. I really enjoyed the game. The graphics are very nice. I like the colors and the style. It looks like a cartoon, and I love casual-style graphics like that.

OK... I played and beat this while working to get the full paint ending *The Mad Doctor one threw me off and I didn't know I could use paint on his last robot maker in his boss fight* but enough on that since this is a review on Steam Deck by me, enjoy the list of pros and cons as I dive deep into the world of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. *Spoilers ahead just in case.* Pro 1: This game honestly runs VERY well on Steam Deck... has some issues in the Swamp level but was easily recoverable... the library after that was easy to get by but all in all, this game EARNED this Green verified checkmark, not given it by some companies saying just having it run and stuff at barely 30 FPS is verified (Looking at you FF VII Rebirth, saw it was updated a couple times but unless its a locked 30 for you with good visuals at least, not Verified at all there... playable... but not Verified.) so Square Enix should really learn from THQ Nordic on proper PC ports... many run WELL at the right settings. Con 1: Gameplay is a bit... repetitive for the length it has... I get this is a remaster of the original but could have had a few more bells and whistles to make things a bit more interesting... don't get me wrong, this game plays WELL... no crashes, no issues, nothing like that... its just... use paint here, use thinner there, don't use thinner on items to be a good guy, use thinner on some items to be a mischievous guy... sure you can use Za Worudo later in the game to slow time to a near standstill, use an anvil for pressure plates, and a TV for powering things and distracting enemies but well... I'll get into this in con 2 after Pro 2... speaking of which... Pro 2: VERY replayable but not as much as you may expect... don't get me wrong I'll cover this in Con 2 but there are two routes you can go... the good or Blue paint route and both have long gameplay covering multiple worlds or realms or lands in the Wastelands... enough said you can be a good boy and help people or be a bad boy and do mean things... though to Con 2... Con 2: There is LITTLE reason to replay the game right after you first beat it... once you beat it, it gives you a cutscene showing what happens after you save the Wasteland *Paint Route* so while there maybe major story differences, its not enough for me to fully replay this game from start to finish again... now onto Pro 3: Pro 3: This game brings back MANY old school and I mean VERY old school characters from Walt Disney's vault of characters... this game more or less takes place in a world Mickey Mouse himself FUBARed and thanks to some events he was dragged into the Wastelands and had to help fix things to even have a chance of getting home and there is also the thing with Oswald as well... Mickey's long lost brother and first creation of Walt Disney being a driving force in the game but know that this game isn't all sunshine and rainbows because... Con 3: My OCD for Side Quest completion was SERIOUSLY messed with here in this game... there are some quests that you accept that CAN be failed and you can't go back to them despite there being ways to backtrack to certain areas... for example... in the Gremlin Village, right before the main hub Mean Street, there is this Quest for the life of me I could not find and when I missed it I was like... seriously?... Gus (the sidekick of the game) warned me that if I left there would be no coming back so I thought that was a point of no return but I couldn't find a quest in the Gremlin village for the life of me so I left for Mean street... and another one which I DIDN'T get warnings for... stuff like the jewels in the jungle... I missed ONE gem out of 5 and failed the quest instantly and there was no way to backtrack... thankfully the game didn't penalize me for that but well... just take my advice and COMB each AREA you first get to before you leave... unless you play on New game plus (Seems like there maybe one given what I looked up since you have collectable.) there is no way to actually backtrack to some levels... again NEVER leave a level if you have a side quest... unless its a returnable main hub area *has 5 of them and one is locked away for some time in the space themed level, so that may as well be a fail there for some quests.* then NEVER leave a sidequest unfinished. Pro 4: Choices have consequences... I know I made a tangent on quests and failures but I like the fact there are some quests that contradict one another... I'll give an example... there is this Ghost in a swamp level asking you to help scare a guy but if you talk to the guy who is supposed to be scared, you can look for his medal to give him courage... as you can see if you do this, you fail the scare Quest and be a nice guy, or you can scare the guy with the ghost man and be a mean mischievous guy... however... Con 5: No matter what, unless you know this game inside and out... you WILL have failed side quests... talking with certain NPC's will cause Quests to fill up the quest log and besides the point of no return at the end of the game and some failure parts with levels you can't return to, like I detailed in pro 5, there WILL be conflicting quests so completing one fails the other so if you want a unblemished Quest log... try and use a guide... this isn't a guide game by any means but some quests are actual head scratchers for me... and I'm a guy in my 30's... so... not my proudest admitance that I'm a gamer in my 30's. Pro 6: My final Pro... again this game is Gorgeous... I played this on Steam Deck and while the game did go on a bit long for me... it did keep me entertained till the end, the game ran VERY well... LOOKED good... and most importantly reminded me that the Steam Deck, while aging hardware, runs a lot better then the Switch 1 and can play amazing games... I would suggest getting this game on sale though since the price is a bit high... Final thoughts: Good game, great game, won't play for awhile after beating it once, got many hours into it but may play Epic Mickey 2: The power of 2 at a future date so if you like this review of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, hope you like the review for Epic Mickey 2 in the future... (I don't have the game yet so no way to review it at this momemt.) anyway this is Emerald signing out and again... great game, THQ did a seriously good job having this game run as well as it does.

I played this game when it first came out originally. They cleaned up the game really well. If you're looking for a great story and good gameplay. This is the game.

While I can't say I haven't been enjoying it, mainly because I played the original years ago as a Kid and this is definitely the same game with a new coat of paint and some minor new additions, the game has a lot of issues that need another patch for, the biggest one that trying to progress the main story early on to visit OsTown has the game crash whenever you try loading into the projector screen/cartoon to travel there, even if you set your graphics to the lowest settings, the game still crashes but even then, the camera locks in place a lot which prevents you from rotating it at certain angles which is REALLY annoying but also the game softlocked me from progressing and I was trapped in place until I had to return to the main menu to fix it, but otherwise I really love everything else aside from some minor UI changes that I prefer the original's rendition over but that doesn't affect the gameplay in regard as some of the bugs and glitches that require another patch to fix, when that happens (probably never if I'm honest), I'll fix this review to something more positive and talk about a lot of the good changes the game has over the original
