There are a lot of things to like about the game. But it is hard. Not brutally smash your face into a wall hard. But it gets difficult very quickly. To a level which I would not recommend for kids as is. Expecially younger ones or ones who get frustrated easily. This mostly comes from the movement of the marble/character. Which I personally don't like. It's not unbearable. But it's extremely momentum based. And slow starting. So keeping moving is extremely important. But. You need to keep in mind exactly what you are doing. And can't go too fast. Because stopping once at full speed will take around 2 full seconds. So you wouldn't be sprinting anywhere. Unless you memorize the level and have played quite a bit of the game. Also there isn't enough rebound when you hit a wall or barrier with how it is currently. So you can't really even use them to keep speed because running into them kill all of you momentum instead of helping you to keep it. By bouncing off. To the point of difficulty. Most everything one hit kills you. The slimes. Which range from meandering, To half hearted chasing, To trying to murder you. All reset you on contact to the last checkpoint. The lasers. Which is to be expected. The enemy marble/balls. Don't kill you on contact. But hit so hard that if there isn't something between you and the edge means you are. Going over. The spikes which are everywhere. The electric barriers. The rolling spike balls. I've never been a fan of the one hit kill style of difficultly and there is a lot of it in this game. But there are checkpoints. I wish the movement was different. I don't mean marble skies or insanely different. Or even a jump. I get this is not, that type of game. And isn't trying to be. But less frustrating. If the point of making the movement less responsive is to add difficulty than I think it's the wrong way to go about it. I wish there was more build up to the difficulty. Like instead of spinning death lasers. And moving laser death walls. Just metal bars that spun, or pushed you, to start with. And instead of enemy marbles that hit like a semi truck, right away. Maybe at first just pushing you, or light bumps. And instead of insta death spikes. Maybe just springs that would kick you up into the air to start with. I would also like it if the slimes just grabbed you instead of being one shot machines. And it'd be cool if after that they spit you out it a random direction. But that is a lot harder to do. So I understand that one. But like the enemies with the spinning bars on them. It'd be cool if they actually had physics and would knock you off and not just reset you. Which you can see in the video above. The level designs are really good. I feel the high point of the game. There is a huge amount of different obstacles. Wind vents and bumpers that push you up. Water ones that try to push you off. Bumpers. And the claw machine to move you to different platforms. The formally mentioned things which kill you. And a whole range of others. You might be wondering why I am recommending it. If there is so much I don't like or would want changed. That's simple. The things I don't like or would change are personal preference. Not inherent negatives. Which someone else might like. I feel more people than not would agree with my view. But I could be wrong. Also it doesn't have to be want I want it be, to a tee. And I still like it. Even if I know I'd like it more if it were different. The main point to me is more to highlight things that aren't as clearly evident in a video. For people considering this game. So they can either. Know it's not for them. Or be more comfortable purchasing it. I have not finished the game. So if later levels do reach an insane level of difficulty I don't know. But regardless of whether or not it's for you. It is above average, in the slew of marble games on steam. Even with the faults.
