Currently the game is 8 but due to a game breaking bug I'm not sure it's worth much of anything. Seems interesting from the small bit I've been able to explore, but moving time forward when in a city requires hitting a "next day" button, which every so often decides to stop working making it impossible to progress. Completely exiting the game and restarting seems to be a sort of fix but it doesn't save every turn so with that fix you're usually only progressing a turn at most in between restarts, if not being stuck in a loop of playing however man days only to exit and be sent back to the first. If this were fixed the game might be worth the money but as is After less than 20 minutes in any given save it seems to become impossible to progress.

I Have had the pleasure of playing this game from a small Indy game company. This game is excellent and captures history well. The storytelling and ability to progress and survive in different ways is excellent. Great job on creating this game!

I like it. My only complaints were that sometimes it'd seem to get stuck in the city, and I had to figure out what it wanted me to do (feed my family, buy a relic). Love the idea, fantastic execution. There is a minor bug with windowed mode on then being turned off causes a stacking of the menus, but other than that, very nice! Will continue playing this simulator

A simple and cute game tweaking and finding out the best time to optimise keeping the family happy and alive. A nice continuation of the previous installment from PrioryGames. Hoping to see more, such as new children, divorces, remarriage etc... excited :)

Good concept, but... Less than one hour of game play. Hence entertainment cost was $8/h Bugs that will require to restart to solve it. - End turn will gray out. Linear and quite simple. In overall, if curious, just buy with a heavy discount.

Really well thought out game. I like how the game changes depending on how you start out in life. Straight away you are drawn in and there are lots of different ways to play. I like how you need to think about each character you have while keeping an eye on the plague. Makes it very challenging at times! I would recommend this game, another cracker from Priory Games!

Let's suck out the poison first: this game is overpriced for how buggy is. But it scratches that old Oregon Trail itch, and it has heart. If the patches continue (and they should), this is a nice little pick-me-up to play now and again. The glitches seem to be the chosen activity changing randomly from time to time, and occasional freezes. It's not unplayable, and there's enough little touches here and there to keep each short playthrough fresh. Well-written, and a surprising variety of art for the amount of items and choices you can make. Combine with an underused setting, and you've got the makings of a hidden gem that just needs some polish. Buy it on sale, and keep an eye on Priory Games.

Only get this on *steep* sale. Did I enjoy this game? Yes. But my personal guideline is that a game costs either $1 per hour of gameplay, or that the experience makes me think about it for a while after I'm done with it. This game does neither. After 1 failed trial run, I managed to completely ace it. As in, there was no feasible way I could die, no challenge, and certainly no real replayability. I didn't spend time getting farther and farther until I finally finished the game. Just one trial run, and then the next I was a god. Was it fun being a god? Yes. But one hour of gameplay for a game that is a little over $7 is not a good look. This is only a little bit above a flash game, and is actually lower in quality than some of the more extensive flash games I've played. I have spent so little time on this game that I could still refund it. That is how little there is here.

I want to say I like this game, I really do... It's almost like Oregon Trail - Black Plague Edition. But there are so many bugs in it. Ending day when in a city sometimes crashes the whole game, can't start the game with the default names, poor tutorial, no real breakdown in what options do when in the city, and unlimited food in cities it seems. In the first 2-3 cities I didnt spend any coin because I sat at 1 food the whole time. Sometimes text in the boxes dont appear and the random events are... well... random response as well. Going on trails and not preparing by buying food is actually cheaper than buying in cities (Cities are 8 per food, trail is 30 for 5 food when you run out... so do the math...) It has promise if it was more polished. The art style is kind of lacking. Again. I really want to like this, but I cant recommend it.

Pros: - Didn't work for me on Linux, messaged the dev, he fixed it in 20 minutes, good stuff. - Good visuals and aesthetics - The game is fun and doesn't play itself, you need to play a couple of runs before you get the hang of what to do (which I like, not too easy) Cons: - Way to expensive, wait for a sale - Unfourtunately a lot of bugs even after the day one patch, sometimes you can't go to the next game, some dialouge gets show twice in a row, game crashed when everyone died, and one time I could keep playing even if everyone died XD Wait for a sale and another patch and you'll get a decent game. 6/10
