The Taoism and feng shui themes are what catch most people's eyes, but after a few hours they automatically translate to real world equivalents in my mind. Once I realize this I can't stop laughing at how ridiculous and portentous everyone sounds.

道教和风水主题是吸引大多数人眼球的地方,但几个小时后,它们在我脑中自动转换成现实世界种种。一旦我意识到这一点,就忍不住笑这些人说话有多好笑和中二。

How the world is built up is pretty... insignificant. If you change this to 1000 BC, it probably would also work.

世界的构建方式相当...无关紧要。如果你把这改成公元前1000年,大概也行得通。

This game failed to capture me with the characters.

Eda seems like a shadow of war, yet seemingly the game wants to put false belief in the player that this will change.

艾妲一直都是战争之后背负阴影的下一代,但游戏似乎一直在诱导玩家觉得她会走出来。

I don't like how Jun's rest of life is portrayed as of little importance compared to his imaginary lover in the end.

It's trivial, keeps the game flowing, expected for a visual novel. Nothing to complain, nothing memorable.

Really good, should take 10 hours to complete that's with doing most side stuff.
The story is easy enough to follow though all the lore outside the main storyline is a bit convoluted and didn't interest me a whole lot, there are a handful of characters which is a good thing imo as it never makes you forget them or their names.
The ending punches you in the gut whereas everything before it was also meant to have you emotionally invested which sadly didn't do much for me, the gameplay was fine and reminded me a bit of the game Journey.

Sigono's magnum opus and my new favorite game of all time;
One of the best science-fiction fantasies I've ever experienced: beautiful, refined, charming, with story & sound that move through the heart like tree roots cracking the sidewalk. Heavy on storytelling detail and narrative perspective with a plot that the game feels designed in order to tell, Echo of Starsong is full of both momentous twists and small moments in time fitted seamlessly in-between that help the world and characters come alive. It has no action combat or challenge mode; there is no downtime, no stopping to strategize over boss fights or level layouts. There are no challenges that can't be overcome with a little bit of forethought.
But every minute spent playing this game is a minute spent in orbit, in revolution around the stars at the center of a world that still bleeds from its own history.
Every minute spent playing is a minute spent discovering the past in the present, putting the pieces together, and seeing how something that must eventually come to an end all comes together.
