Not the worst game out there, but there is very little substance. It's kinda short.

There are a lot of levels, different NPCs, different monsters that need to be attacked, the schedule is nice to the eye, the musical accompaniment is very suitable for this world, for your money, the very thing to spend time with a buzz

Easy RPG with adventure elements. Reminds of old games of the 90s. I remember how I had a disc with similar games there was still half life. As for the game, everything is quite simple, we perform tasks. We collect the gear. We pump over the character. everything is simple. music top!

I've played 24 hour game jam games with more depth than this. All the positive reviews are obviously from the devs.

This game is the equivalent of playing a Chinese bootleg of Skyrim on some level 100 zaza. Azure Sky is stolen and asset flipped as all hell (see Enoops' other games and cross reference similar assets and themes) The leveling system in this game becomes irrelevant once you get to level 6 - you don't get any stronger, your spells don't get any better, you don't get more health or mana to spare. So unless if you want to exploit that one glitch where you can get a million scrolls, there's no point in fighting enemies OR completing quests. Speaking of, the only quest that matters is the one that nets you the best weapon in the game. The other rewards are too slow to be useful as BOTH of them involve regen (Mana and health respectively). Another thing that's slow is the character's walking speed which makes sense because he's HUGE compared to everyone else. The movement options (dash, superjump) are extremely good but weighed down by how long they take to recover; Dash takes 3 seconds, but the super jump takes a grand total of 12-15 seconds to recover. Dashing is essential as it can go through enemies without any trouble, yet Da Jump takes forever to finish and can't be used often. You've got 6 magic spells and you're going to unlock all of them by the time you played this game for 20 minutes.

Fireball: Slow, relatively expensive, hits everywhere but in front of you, extremely weak
Storm: Slow, the most expensive spell in the game, kills everything it touches but ONLY left and right
Poison: The more "reliable" version of Storm - not as expensive, and deals good damage to ONE enemy.
Sword: A crippled, shy version of Poison - Long startup, can be aimed anywhere, will kill things 45% of the time
Heal... heals (for a good price)
Healing Totem heals you for 70 if you're patient and if you've no potions nearby.
Yeah, you can get potions. They're extremely common and heal for the same number no matter WHAT you kill. You also CAN'T stack them which means you have to make do with your SIX (yeah, count em) S I X inventory slots. The only other item you can get are EXP scrolls. They fill up an arbitrary bar and are only good for players that LOVE to see bigger numbers. The storyline is basically nonexistent -
protag goes on a trip because his master said so, meets irrelevant people, and end his journey by finding his master.
Enemies are just as samey as K-pop band members. One crawls, one shoots in place, one moves and shoots, and one charges at you. That's it. No bosses, no hidden enemy, no nothing. Quests in Azure Sky are for a very specific type of person. One that loves to walk back and forth while jamming out to nothing but medieval elevator music. Other than a cheap price tag, laughable DLC, and a great way for your friends to hate you if gift this to them, try your best to get this game for free or "try" a "demo" of it. It's a pleasant way to fall asleep and to completely hate the country that made this masterpiece. I'd absolutely recommend this game.

No idea why this was in the "Souls-likes" section, but whatever. XD Before it had the "anime" tag, which I think fits with the style of the pixelized graphics and the fact that the jump is so freaking floaty, but it absolutely fits. Oh and the enemies look really cute. The English translation goes from OK to terrible: mostly I see mistakes - e.g. "I heard you went on a journey." while it's evident your character is still undertaking said journey when the two characters are talking - and most of the text is fine, if simple, but every once in a while I'll see a sentence and I have no earthly idea what it's even trying to say: "Hey, could not, would not ... Can you get 3 runes for me?" - chop the first bit PLEASE, my every instinct as a linguist is screaming in agony at that first sentence. There are some minor annoyances that were also funny: - Some of the instructions are misplaced and will be completely lost on you, if you don't check the controls before plying, e.g. the first dialog has "Press E" on the bottom and I kept pressing it for a bit and feeling very confused at the dialog never moving from that one line, while it's actually an instruction on what to press to pick up items. Not helpful. XD - Storywise it's also simple and the loading screen will just awkwardly hang there for a few seconds and the first time I saw it, there was a character questioning the protagonist "Why are you helping me?" and made me think I'm supposed to press some unknown button to make what I thought was hanging dialog do away. XD With the bad parts out of the way, I have to say playing is very relaxing, the music fits and it's entertaining and calming, though you will go nuts if you can't stand 1 track going on repeat forever - you can turn the music off, but you can't access the main menu ingame - and while they're a lot of different spells, I've just to need anything except the default "click to make the book floating in front of you shoot laser projectiles at multiple angles" attack and the platforming so far is an absolute cakewalk. I'm almost certain you could have nearly no control whatsoever in your hands and still play this just fine. I usually hate aiming with the mouse, but the attacks cover nearly half the screen and everything moves slowly enough and you can be in infinite god mode just by not getting too close to enemies and shooting away at them at your leisure, you don't even have to see them on screen to shoot them, it's that easy. While I have no idea if or how the game saves, I can see myself returning to this when I feel like chilling and clicking, plus at less than 1€, the game's it's an absolute bargain.

I don't know for sure if all the positive ratings here are paid ratings, but it seems like it could be the case. About the game: No tutorial. Very repetitive gameplay: there are like 4 or 5 different types enemies over and over again, no bosses, always the same items (potions), lame ending and the spells are pretty useless except for maybe healing. The levels are super repetitve, and the jump mechanics are not that good either (you often get stuck at the edges of platforms above you so you have to do the jump again). To be honest, I only finished this game (took me around 90 minutes) because I hoped there was some kind of final boss, but I was disappointed.
