A decent seated escape room style VR experience.
The game is good, not great, but good. Feels a bit dated, but it is from 2021. I don't really care for being confined to one location in VR. I want to be able to move around and explore, but I understand why they made that design choice.
The puzzles are mostly pretty simple, but a few had me scratching my head. There is also an element of urgency, as some levels have timers at certain points that will kill you. Or if you make the wrong move, you can die. I had to replay a few levels several times to figure out what I was doing wrong. I found this a bit frustrating. I really don't want to go through the motions of redoing very simple puzzle mechanics.
There is a story, and it's good enough for the game. I don't remember the first game, since I played it six years ago, so not really sure what ties in. I bought this game and the third at the same time, so I'll give the next one a shot and see if it's better than this.
I did one playthrough and messed around a bit with finding collectibles. Realized I didn't care enough to do that. So, I'd say the game is about 3.5 hours long. It's fun, but not full price fun. I don't think I would buy it again unless it was a big sale. But it's still worth playing if you are looking to scratch that VR puzzle escape room itch.
