What a waste of potential. For the longest time, Fury Fight was an exclusive game for a Chinese arcade machine called "Laptop Arcade Player". Basically an android tablet modified to remove touch controls, mounted on a plastic body with built-in controllers. Some people found out about this game and its fighting version named "Rupture Void" (which you can see a picture of it in the gallery on this game), managed to buy one and then dumped the games. And with the tease of Rupture Void in the gallery, things seemed amazing for the lovers of niche games. I also played the game, and found it very interesting to say the least. It certainly does have the potential to become a very good beat'em up. But there's one problem... [h1]The devs abandoned the game after a month[/h1] I'm not kidding. The game released in early access on April 13, 2022 and the last major update was on May 10, 2022. SteamDB does show a depot change about 8 months ago, but that doesn't count because it added nothing to the game. Right now, the game is playable from start to finish and will take you about an hour to do a single playthrough. But it's marred with issues that are in dire need of fixing, preventing me from spending any more time with it. Allow me to list them for you: - The difficulty is not fine tuned, as the game heavily relies on enemy spam. Which in turn drives the players to abuse the special move gauge to be able to progress. - Bosses have attacks that can drain your health from 100 to 0 pretty quick. Some of them are nearly unavoidable. - Some levels / boss fights have no music. - The game is filled to the brim with English translation issues. Which is a surprise, considering the English voices recorded for characters' actions are flawless and very well done. It's really weird that the devs suddenly decided to make their game available to a wider audience, just to abandon it very soon after. It's playable, but requires more work to realize its potential. If you have no interest in collecting very niche games, skip this one. You won't find a lot in it.

hideous, slow, bad controls, annoying enemies, crusty combat

Surprisingly fun beat 'em up. Most of the game seems to be finished. 3 Characters, Arcade/Story mode, unlockable Boss Rush and Challenge mode. Graphics and gameplay could be tightened up but I doubt that will happen. What's there is good for the price. Game was abandoned.

So far, so good. A little rough around the edges and some translation problems that are being fixed right now! The gameplay is spot on with nice combos and the characters are very different from each other. If you like beat'em ups and are willing to help improve this one, you are in for a good time. EDIT: Changed to not recommended because the game was abandoned.
