Updated Review: an incredible hidden gem. a huge amount of content for very little money and significantly more fun and immersive than any of the other music games. the music is similarly extremely good while not needing to prop itself up with common "hits". its so good in fact that i searched for it on spotify to add it to my playlists. i got this game over a year ago and still have it installed and enjoy it deeply every time i jump in. not many games i can say that about, lol. best 10 bucks i spent all year, highly recommend! edit: played on Pimax8kX with valve index controllers on a 3080.
Pros and Cons of Space Dance Harmony
Bought this earlier today from the time of writing this, looked very fun and detailed from the pictures and videos on the store page. And it is. This game is a lot of fun, the graphics are very good, and the environments have a lot of detail. The game was also listed as $13 which I thought was very cheap for a VR game. A few things met my expectations while playing, and some did not. Here is my list of pros and cons about the game Pros - Well optimized, runs flawlessly on my PC - Graphics are very good and highly detailed - The movement of the instructor feels very natural - The dances were well choreographed and fun to dance to - The scoring actually factors more than just hand movement and position. I was expecting something like Just Dance where the only thing that matters is hand movement, but this uses everything for scoring which I like. HOWEVER the scoring seems to be very broken, which a lot of people reported. I didn't really notice cause I just thought I sucked at the game but that needs to be fixed ASAP. Cons - There are only 7 songs you can play, and only one difficulty each. Also, only one of the songs is an easy difficulty. I would've been fine with it if each song had all 3 difficulties but that is not the case. - The variety of songs is mostly the same - The price may seem like it's not worth it, considering I played every level including the tutorial, got to see every environment, and essentially do everything that you can do once in 30 minutes. Of course I know that the point is to play the levels multiple times to get better, but content is definitely lacking. - Even though you can set the play size all the way down to 0.5m, it doesn't seem to make a difference. I was using a small area while playing, and I thought that turning that setting down would make it so that I could experience it fully, but it sadly didn't. I'll play with a bigger area later and see if that makes it more comfortable, since the shop page says that you need 2mx2m of space. Final Thoughts This game has a lot of potential, but a long way to go. The developer said on the shop page that they plan to release in 2021, and I have a strong feeling that is not going to happen. The developer also mentioned that they plan on adding more songs, which is a good step. In conclusion, it's fun if you like this type of a game, but don't expect too much content out of it AND DEAR GOD PLEASE FIX THE SCORING

Nice rhythm game, Much more subtle than Synthriders or Beat Saber. You have to do more than just hit targets and really pay attention to what is going on. It takes a couple tries in a dance to get into the movements and rythm. Also you need to pay attention to your position and stay mostly centered in your VR box. Too far forward or back and your targets will be off. That said you also have to move side to side a bit and the game seems to pay attention to your head rotation angles. The instructor is a bit uncanny yet especially with they eyes, but not so much that she distracts from the game itself. Things I would like to see, maybe put the scene and colour picker in preferences rather than making you choose them each time you start. Also a random option for next song and/or scene would be nice.

This is a very well done game. I do not see any reviews mentioning the new content added. It may have been that there were only a few songs in in 2021 but there is a good number now. Any beginner with the intent of actually learning all of the choreography would have many hours of content here. Music is great. The moves are fun. I hope the devs keep going with this game as updates are exciting to see. PC gaming needs more good dance material like this.

Space Dance is very cool. Controllers freeze sometimes. Few song and environment, there will be more. One of the best early access game.

So far it has a dope soundtrack, beautiful worlds, and is fun to play. You might just learn some new dance moves for your next party :)

OOooooof I just saw this game is a year in access already and yet it has so much basics left to fix. The biggest one is that the game recognises your movements very poorly at times. Getting a 5 star is nearly impossible because of the bad detection and scoring system that needs to be thrown out. Every right move gives you a multiplier. Mess one move up and you lose it all. This means that the ONLY way to get any high score is by not messing up and by that I mean trick the game into thinking you did the move. Hands are also in an awful position unless you have Vive Wands. You can't favourite, barely any settings or customization, it is just a downright broken mess at this point and who knows if the devs will ever fix it. I like the idea but they seriously need to fix everything fast or fade into obscurity.

This game is truely early access in that there's about 1/10th of the content that needs to be in a full release. But what is there is very polished and feels great. They could have a hit on their hands if they deliver but I've been burned so many times by games like this that are strong out of the gate and never get a single update so we shall see. Worst case scenario current state is a pretty decent to pick up and play game for a quick intense warm up workout. So for me it's a keeper.
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/w1vqiWEVA70 I do recommend this game, however, beware there is very little content here currently. This is like a bare bones clone version of Dance Central VR. You basically mirror the dance moves of the dance instructor. For Early Access, it's pretty well polished and has a nice core to what could potentially be a good title in the future assuming a lot more content is added in the future. However, you're really not getting your money's worth at the moment. There's only 5 songs currently. I finished all 5 songs and placed #1 on the leaderboard for 4 of the 5 in less than 30 minutes of play. The soundtrack is nice, but I had never heard of any of the songs before this game. It definitely doesn't have the great musical soundtrack of Dance Central VR. Even more depressing, there's only one dance for each song. There are no difficulty settings. There's no easy, medium, or hard version of the choreography. Don't get me wrong, the choreographies are nice, but if music licensing is difficult to get, then surely having more than one choreo for each song is a good idea. There's also only one game mode available. There are three different stages (environments) to select at least. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 frames per second. I did not experience any issues or bugs. However, I did experience some problems with the tracking of the dance movements for some of the movements, especially on one song. It kept showing as missing, even though I would get good from the other side even though I was making the same movement (on the other side). I definitely believe there's an issue there and it wasn't my dancing causing it. I think having the option to have your player height calibrated and the ability to re-center from within the game may alleviate that issue and I would like to see those options added soon. I had fun. I got a good workout. Unfortunately, it also feels like I paid for a demo. Well, I hope these devs do work on this title and add a lot more content. I am willing to support these devs (I don't personally know them) because I love music dance rhythm games like Dance Central and Just Dance (non-VR).
