as much as i love word games and trying to find the best alternative to bookworm adventures, i sadly have to give this game a thumbs down recommendation. here are the reasons to your questions:

for steam deck players, you must adjust the screen size manually from the option menu and it does not save when you exit the game. so you have to keep doing it every time you launch the game but...
again for steam deck players, there is NO SAVE FILE when you exit the game so always keep it open in the background. i exited the game once during Chapter 1 then relaunched it but the Continue button stays greyed out. when i selected New Game, funnily enough it told me i had a save file but where was it if the Continue button could not be selected?
if you love to touch the screen on your steam deck... be aware of the hangman trap minigame. DO NOT TOUCH THE GUESSING WORD or else, the letters will disappear!
at the anagram shrine minigame, the answer could be two words and it has no spacing for the guessed word[s]. for example, bnegneeras was the anagram i got with the theme vegetables and the answer was greenbeans (without spacing).
the font for O and D looks almost similar which would be hard to be distinguished by people who have poor eyesight.
you must activate a skill before you select the letters to display your chosen word. when you activate the skill, it will randomly choose two letters so your chosen word might not include those letters which is bothersome as you might not always remember to activate the skill you want beforehand as it is hidden (you have to press the 'SKILL' button for the skill symbols to display).
the skills are very limited and once a skill has been activated, you may not activate the same skill for 3 rounds as it is being recharged. to add, there is also a skill bar which refills only when you level up and that is random as the skill points vary. so for every round, you have to ensure the skill itself is refilled 100% and the skill bar is enough to activate the skill you've selected (yes, they are both different things). both requirements must be refilled, this is not an 'or' situation.
health and skill bar does not refill when you finish or abandon a quest. the two bars will only be refilled when you level up which is at random times or if you manually refill it with a vial you bought. to add, you can only carry 2 vials each for every quest (that means 2 health and 2 skill vials) even if you have bought the best belt.
for achievement hunters, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THE SIDE QUEST ACHIEVEMENT DURING THE MAIN GAME. only do them once you've completed the game (the Continue button will be available for you immediately after the game ends) as those are the only ones that count except for when you are forced to do a side quest during the main game. i wasted so many hours doing this mistake plus you might run into a softlock.
referring to the side quest softlock, it has to be the most infuriating bug. imagine getting the last fifth frog leg after traversing 99% of the map just for you to defeat the enemy and not advance. how does this happen? by using the fire skill when the enemy is almost dying. if the damage dealt by the word does not eliminate the enemy completely but the fire does after the enemy attacks you then there is nothing for you to click on except the exit map button which will RESTART THE WHOLE QUEST. this situation happened to me many times to the point where i decided to grind for better loot instead of depending on the skills.
oh and be careful of the skillsets you unlock for orbi. once you reach the maximum level of 35, you are no longer rewarded with skillset points so choose which skillsets you want to upgrade. my mistake was simply pressing the skillsets to unlock each of them thinking that i could maximize everything but yes, i reached level 35 before even reaching the last chapter because of all the side quests i was grinding on.
for what it's worth, the base price is cheap but i would recommend getting it at 50% and above off if you really want to play it as it is fairly short with only 3 chapters and the reasons i mentioned above.
