if you were curious enough to click on this game, check the details, watch the intro, see any review...than it's time for you to buy the game...why? Because this will surpass your expectations...at least it did for me! I am very impressed with the developers...because this is very impressive! Just joking, but seriously...the attention to detail, the cut scenes, the story the game tells as the game breaks down...the character you control is a little version of knock out royale if you will...and you are a little character in a big world: filled with evil crows, guys in yellow toxic suits trying to grab you, little enemies the same size you are who bash your head in any chance they can!
Cool Edited Video for you guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7vJA5dUNWY
Love the graphics, love the game play...also by the way, there are nice little challenging puzzles that will make you use your big brain. The movement is crisp and feels nice, things work as intended..I am very pleased to have played this game!

This game is so bad. The controls make know sense. Arrow keys and space bar?? I don't have arrow keys so i had to hold FN the entire time. TERRIBLE. I think this is the worst 20 dollars i have ever spent in my life. Dont play this game unless its on sale.

Better than Little Nightmares. Interesting twist at the end. There is an Epilogue that hasn't been released as of the time of this review. Can;t wait for it. Controls are clunky but manageable so don't shy away. Not a 20 dollar game but i'd let 15 slide.

I've spent a long time debating my feelings on this game. When I first saw the demo and some of the artwork, I really thought this would be an amazingly fun game. But, instead, it mostly fell flat. While the visuals are pretty *chef's kiss* beautiful... the gameplay and actual storyline (if you can call it a storyline?) was unfortunate. So many points were boring and beyond the few "EEP" moments in the beginning, once you recognize the sounds or enemies it's just dull and repetitive. The game doesn't do well to guide you in some points, like the water "level", so you spend too much time watching the same death scene over and over again. Let us not forget the very strange hit boxes sometimes. I definitely do not recommend this game and I greatly wish I could've gotten a refund. Weaveractive, if you're reading this... I hope you use that money to make a better storyline and overall game. Please and thanks.

I do really recommend this game, but I think I enjoyed the play of the demo I tried a bit better. I love that there's more levels and more story but the full game has so many more frustrating mechanics i.e. having to ledge grab constantly, the swinging ropes are just flat out frustrating, having to do things perfectly to avoid some enemies there's not much forgiveness for error which is rough. The demo version I played seemed more focused on puzzle solving than platforming skill this is the opposite it has puzzles, but by the time I get to them I'm so annoyed by getting destroyed I can't even enjoy them. This felt more like a race to get to the end to see the story than an enjoyable experience it felt no where near as clean as the demo because of the new mechanics in the game, also there's a bunch of gotcha moments where you have no idea something is about to kill you and you get dunked so you have to replay a section just because there's a new mechanic or enemy you had no idea or warning about. I think the dog scene in the trial was much better as well. I don't know if the story was underwhelming or I was just so frustrated by the game I was really expecting more. The graphics are absolutely phenomenal. It has some pretty good scare moments. The story was interesting even though I'm still in the middle between the story being pretty good and underwhelming. The game does work and the puzzles if you're not frustrated while completing them are super neat and take some thought. Overall still a really good game and worth the 20 dollar price point even though it's a bit short.

If you like games like Limbo, Inside, or Little Nightmares, STAY AWAY from this game. DO NOT BUY, even on sale. You WILL be disappointed.
The game's a visual treat... but that's the only positive thing I can say about it. And even that one positive isn't without its issues -- while the art style is visually compelling, it does not read well at all in terms of gameplay. It's not at all clear what is just foreground/background and what is actually an interactable part of the environment, especially in the first couple areas.
Controls are pretty much terrible, especially for a game with so few inputs. You press the joystick away from a ladder to jump off, but you press the jump button to jump off of a rope. Unless you're using keyboard; then you press jump to climb up a rope and you press the action button to jump off. There are very few tricky jumps, but the ones that do exist are frustrating, because the game doesn't seem to have coyote time and it's not clear when your character's hitbox leaves the platform. Do I have to jump before the midpoint of my character is past the edge? Before his trailing foot is past the edge? It didn't feel consistent, which maybe goes back to the art style being pretty to look at but getting in the way of gameplay. Maybe hitboxes of platforms just don't always line up with the art the same way.
There are many blind drops where if you just move a bit too far (with no way of knowing what's "too far" and very little air control while falling) then you miss the landing area and die from fall damage. There are also many traps and other types of insta-deaths that are not really telegraphed enough to anticipate them. I think the game is trying to use these as "jump scares" to increase feelings of tension, but it just makes things boring and annoying. Run to the right until a spike trap kills you and reset; jump before that part next time.
Way too many of the puzzles, especially early, are just things like "push an item to a ledge so you can make a jump" or "set an item on a pressure switch to disable a trap" -- if you've played a puzzle platformer in the past 25 years, you'll be bored to tears by these "puzzles".
The underwater controls are unbearable, especially because the game eats inputs if you press keys too early, so the underwater escape segment is incredibly frustrating. That's about where I finally just quit playing because the game isn't worth it. I skimmed through some let's play -type videos on youtube to see if I was missing out on anything by not finishing the game, and it really doesn't seem like there's any meaningful payoff to suffering through the gameplay.
Very strong Do Not Recommend from me on this one. It should have just been a 5- or 10-minute animated short on youtube, not a game. As a game, it's worse than most free experimental game jam products on itch.io.

It is in all intents and purposes, a fun take on the small child scary world dynamic that you see on steam, i.e Little Nightmares, INSIDE, etc. What we have here is some quality but I find 20 bucks to be extremely, extremely hard to justify for a game that you can knock out in less than an hour, even without mentioning the slippery control scheme that doesn't favor controller in the slightest, leaving me to tip-tap my keyboard awkwardly to the finish. Its VERY jank, very short, and probably not what I'd recommend for 20 bucks.
If you really are interested regardless, wait for a 5 dollar sale or something, this is a very hard sell. As of now I only managed to beat it in 46 minutes on the first try through trial and error.

This is more of an thumbs sideways review. For starters, certainly not worth it full price. It's short, a bit janky, but it's an interesting take on the platformer with an interesting enough story told through visuals only, and a couple of good horror moments. But it's short, and the runtime was unnecessarily padded out by an abysmal section near the end where you're trying to dodge grabbing hands. The hitboxes of the hands, combined with the angle of the camera (which isn't changeable) make this section an absolute nightmare, so I was very glad the game ended shortly afterwards before more of that nonsense appeared.
Also a word of warning, it's not complete either - there's a defunct 'Epilogue' button which never unlocks, so proceed with caution.

Bought this game with my love for little nightmares in mind.
However while little nightmares was able to capture a gruesome nightmare in the warped eyes of the youth, this game managed to capture what fully grown game developers would assume to be scary for a child.
The controls? are awful. The amount of times my lil prince guy committed hilarious suicide while climbing up a ladder was frustrating.
The directions? not clear enough and once figured out left me in irritation rather than a legit sense of satisfaction for solving the puzzle.
Plot? I have to say the concept for this game is amazing, the moments I loved was beginning. I was genuinely under the assumption there was some virus loose and the toys was symbolic representations. However the ending result of.... robots and killer toys left me more empty and felt the story could've had large potential.
The price? not worth the time you poor into a short game like this. You're looking at 2 hours tops, that's not even sonic forces level of short.
Overall? I could not recommend this and the replay value? is not there. I played it just now and have no reason to play again. There's no secrets I can find, no collectables, no multiple endings.
If you want a little nightmares game? just buy little nightmares. This one is a skip unless the there's a sale for 70% off.

This looked fun, this looked intriguing, and for what it is, I guess it's kind of fun. Reminds me a lot of "Inside" or "Limbo". However, unlike the other two, this game is more frustrating than fun. It has bad checkpoint design, very ugly graphical problems, cheap traps, and puzzles with otherwise obvious solutions being too well hidden without enough of a hint for them, particularly in the...water filled areas of this game. What little hints at a story are intriguing, but otherwise lose their appeal rather quickly when the game tries to be more scary than fun and fails at both. I get the sense this game really wanted to channel Little Nightmares but didn't have enough time and work put in to match that quality, not that I expected too much.e As it stands, can't recommend it too much, just wasn't very fun.
