Having played this game for over an hour, I would honestly never bother with this game again and luckily only got it as it was on sale. The game is very bland and uninspiring and games like city skylines do this genre much better instead.

Decent game for such a small development team. Early Access was well done. (haven't played much after release)

I came back to this game after losing interest for about a year. I tried to pull up a saved city and discovered that a new system for managing electricity was added that basically made my city untenable. There was no tutorial alerting me to the big change or explaining what to do, just a few pop-ups if I happened to click the right things with info that was ultimately not helpful because I wasn't able to place the new required buildings properly and couldn't figure it out. They should have made a clear tutorial that launches when you open a game saved before that update was added that tells you exactly what do to. Instead, my entire city had no electricity because it was designed before the new system and buildings were required.
Anyway, if you really like city sims, you will probably like this game. In my case, I love city sims, but this one just didn't really get me hooked the way that others have and that's why I stopped playing for a year after about 16 hours. There is a lot I don't like about Cities: Skylines, but High Rise City doesn't really do it for me either. Guess I will keep waiting for the next generation awesome city sim.

Honestly this game runs like sh*t. However...it's everything Cities skylines 2 could've been. Deep sensible and observable economy. Stats that actually mean something and can be acted upon. All that good gameplay stuff.

This is what I call a 'Bottle of Wine' game. It's perfect for playing with a glass. There's always some little problem to work out. Why have I suddenly run out of eggs? Should I go all out on the glass making, or just make enough for my own use? Do my people really need bread?
It's a cool game to chill out in front of with a drink, and relax. Look, it's early access. There are crashes (especially as your city gets bigger), there are oddities in the economy that make no sense, I still don't think I have a clue how the transport system works.
But it's really fun. Sit back, take a sip of decent claret, and enjoy making a city that looks better than anything I've ever managed in Cities Skylines.

really enjoying this, like city skylines except without the crappy £100s worth of DLC
