Pretty fun and with some cool areas if you are willing to dig to get to them.

It's a strange game. It needs to be experienced to understand. You can really feel the classic FPS influence, only problem is that the ambient horror and the combat kinda clash with each other.
It took me 1.5 hours to complete and for the price I think it was well worth the money.
I hope this dev keeps making games.

Really liked the game, couldn't say anything negative about it.
Hope to see new games similar, or even a sequel to this one.

Not bad.... it is a small retro PS1/PS2 looking FPS-Horror game. It isn't scary but it has some decent atmosphere for a $1 game. There are a couple of boss fights thrown in which is greatly appreciated.
The only issues are obviously the AI, glitches and sorta directionless gameplay. A few puzzles are thrown in and there is a crap load of ammo that you don't even need.
Still worth the price. Good effort for what it is.

For the price it's 100% worth it, didn't rely on cheap jump scares and instead was just creepy as hell. Graphics are shitty in the most endearing way, reminds me of old ps1 and ps2 games, always a good thing. Very enjoyable, buy this shit.

I bought this game and then he made it free after the eligibility period for the refund expired. RIP to my 50 cents. :( Game is probably okay and worth playing though.

Fortuito is one of the best indie games I have played on Steam. Fortuito: Lost History is a surreal horror FPS from a small studio. The game is enjoyable, varied, and quite fleshed-out for a very low asking price of only one dollar. I dug most all of it, although the section with the dude chasing you started to get a bit old. As a fan of oldschool FPS and horror puzzle games, all-in-all I'm glad I checked it out.
The game isn't too scary, but has its moments of surprise. A couple of cool boss fights and a fun section to wrap up the end of the game add to its overall value. I can easily recommend this game to anybody even marginally interested. If you're worried this will be one of those Steam games that has a well put-together trailer without the game itself delivering, this game progresses nicely over the course of it's roughly 2 1/2 hour playtime. The game doesn't overstay its welcome, and introduces new mechanics as you progress throughout its handful of levels to keep things fresh.
Fortuito doesn't bother to tell a story at all with any cutscenes or long diatribes in dialog boxes. You are simply plopped into a hellish environment, given a handful of weapons and tasked with finding your way toward several puzzles to complete to progress to the next section of the game. While this lack of story may bother some, I didn't mind it at all and found the game's overall mechanics and presentation to be engaging enough to not care about 'why' I'm there fighting skeletons, zombies, demons, etc..
I did have a minor bug while playing in which upon respawning my character would appear to still be holding the pistol (but actually have the shotgun equipped) and the shotgun would be strangely juxtaposed near the character's shoulder, just floating there until I either fired or swapped weapons back and forth to return to the shotgun.
The only other very minor criticism I have is that some of the game's AI tend to be of the 'bee line straight toward the player' variety, leaving you very little space to flee from them. Thankfully it's only a few of the enemy types that do this (rather than all) but it still leads to a kind of strange kiting / fleeing mechanic at times (more noticeable just before the game's climax)
These two minor gripes aside, Fortuito: Lost History is one of the best lower cost-of-entry, indie-developed titles available on Steam in recent memory.

A fun little old-school, PS1-aesthetic horror pew-pew. Imaginative, visceral level design, a nice variety of creatures to pew-pew and some basic mild puzzling along the way. Would recommend for a chill spoopy FPS.
