This game is as fun as going to school everyday and going to your english class at the start of your morning. This game makes you want to take a nice trip to San Francisco to the Goldengate bridge and jump off it.
This game is as good as your blind/dead parents driving (it just does not make sense why a dead or blind person would be driving). But to be honest the devs should just quit their jobs and find something that they are actually good at because this game is a piece of human feces that looks like sh!t.

"I step up to the plate and point directly at the pitcher's head. He knows what this means. A priest is reading him his last rites as two groundsmen are digging his grave. With tears in his eyes, he throws the ball." - Mr. Baseball, 2025

The pitching difficulty is perfect. I love the way your accuracy goes down as you tire. Better than The Show in mechanics. Graphics are very cartoonish but hey when the controls are this refined who cares?

I loved this game. EA's abandonment of this franchise is a disgrace, and has led to the steam version being completely unplayable with a controller anyway. Don't support this horrible company. RIP SMB

i got this game to play with a friend in a different town. we can't really play online as EA clearly doesn't have server space dedicated to this game. don't buy it unless it's on sale for 90% off and even then, have fun playing by yourself

random dips and slowdowns in the middle of games. the game itself is very fun but these performace issues are odd the game runs at a locked 60 and then dips randowmly for no reason. I checked online and this appers to be common.

Multiplayer doesn't work at all. It's pretty fun by yourself, but don't buy this expecting to play with a friend.

Pretty much a step back in every single category from SMB3. Looks absolutely awful. Gameplay feels clunky and awkward compared to 3. All the new gameplay modes and features like shuffle and new skill traits are really cool, but if you have played 3 they are not worth having due to how terrible the gameplay is in comparison. Total disappointment. Buy 3 instead.

This is a fun game if you like baseball. Interesting players. Graphics are as expected for a new game very nice.

I am going to preface this review by stating that I have played all 4 SMB games, including over 200 hours in SMB 3.
This is the best SMB game to date, easily.
I love the team chemistry addition, I love that there are waaaaaaay more traits than in SMB 3. I love that you can play with the old classic teams or play with teams that have real (past) MLB players, or a mixture of both. I love how the Ohtani rule is implented in the game and you can now have players that can be both position players AND pitchers.
Then on top of all that, the addition of a bunch of new stadiums to play in while having the old ones available as well. There's realistic and funny traits to the real MLB players, like Rick Ankiel having Wild Thing and Johnny Damon having Noodle Arm. Last but not least, there is an absolutely legendary reference to the MLB within the 'Sign Stealer' trait that I am not going to spoil, but a friend and I both lost our composure when we heard it and had to pause the game to finish laughing.
All of this while the gameplay/mechanics is still the same old SMB gameplay/mechanics I've always loved. Several reviews rag on this game for annoying announcers/umpires/sound stuff, and while I don't disagree necessarily I have never found the old announcers/umpires/etc to be funny... Its something I've always just kinda tuned out in my brain anyway, I'm here for the baseball... (Also you can turn the sound down on those things individually to mute them if you hate them THAT much.)
So in short... if you enjoyed a past SMB game or looking to pick one up to try out the series... this is it!
