Not worth the money whatsoever. Gameplay is janky as hell and not having the MLB license is a another con on top of that. If arcade style games like 9 Innings and Clutch Hit can get the license, EA should.

I am in Croatia and some american sport is fine to play when it is a game. During small time I live in america I come to like hockej and base ball. This is a fun base ball game.

As an avid fan of baseball video games, I found Super Mega Baseball™ 4 to be an incredibly fulfilling experience. This game brilliantly combines the mechanics of traditional baseball with a whimsical twist, thanks to its exaggerated player features that create a delightfully goofy atmosphere.
Despite hearing mixed reviews on Steam, I felt compelled to share my positive experience. Each time I sat down to play, I intended to practice for just a few innings, only to lose track of time and find myself immersed for hours. The thrill of executing a perfectly timed home run or successfully sending a runner to steal a base is genuinely exhilarating.
One of the standout aspects of this game is its unique rating system. Unlike conventional difficulty levels, the game assesses your performance based on your scoring, hitting, and fielding abilities. As you improve, your "ego" increases, matching you with players of similar skill levels. This dynamic not only enhances the competitive spirit but also keeps the game-play fresh and engaging.
In conclusion, Super Mega Baseball™ 4 is an awesome game that offers both fun and challenge. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the genre, this title is sure to provide countless hours of enjoyment. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the joy of baseball in a lighthearted and entertaining way.

This game has a lot going for it if you are brand new to this series. However if you have played any of the past series of SMB games you will know this is a disappointing sequel. Couple the quality of online server hellscape with a developer that doesn't even have the professional integrity to be clear and remain in touch with its hard won fan base and you get SMB 4.

Best baseball game out there. No it's not trying to emulate an MLB broadcast but the gameplay is solid. The franchise and career modes are great and super customizable. If you want a good baseball game, get this.

Mostly fantastic, with some really obnoxious quirks. The actual baseball feels really good with the massive exception of the Contact score for hitters. If a batter has high contact and a pitch is thrown right down the middle, 90% of the time you line out to center field. Otherwise, the controls are good and intuitive.
They have the ubiquitous single game, season and franchise modes, but if you're looking for an in-depth GM mode, you won't get it here. Contracts are all single-season, there are no trades, and player ability fluctuates pretty randomly as years go on. It's still fun, but it has shortcomings. There are some already created leagues that have current and former MLB players (and some influencers, I think? but who knows and cares), but you won't get anything like a current MLB roster or league, but I don't think anything is stopping you from editing one in if you want.
It's a good, arcade-y style sports game. It sucks that EA is involved, but you don't have to sign in to anything else or anything, at least.
Oh, and to those weird dudes who are like "this game sux there are women involved that's not realistic", please just shut up and go back to Reddit.

I have many more hours playing this on PS4 and Xbox Series X, and it is by far my most played game of all time.
This game is great if you don't really care about the MLB experience, but you love the game of baseball. The game play mechanics are very natural, and you can customize difficulty at a very granular level where batting, fielding, base running, and pitching difficulty can be adjusted individually.
There are also 23 unique stadiums (20 if you get the standard edition of the game). Each one has its own personality with a different environment, outfield dimensions, and wall heights.
I play franchise mode exclusively because I love being able to create a league and franchise from scratch and have the statistics start from day 1 of the league. It's a blast to get 10 years into a franchise and see how it has evolved over time and what the statistical records are for your franchise.
The game allows you to go back to the most recent 50 seasons to see the statistical leaders for each season, but even after 50 seasons, it will still track the statistical leaders even if they have since retired.

Firstly; It runs really nicely on Steam Deck.
Secondly; Really fun arcadey baseball game. Very easy to spend hours and hours playing this. The gameplay is fun and having old MLB players in this one is super cool.
Wouldve been cool if they had included the ability to trade players but overall really good and fun

The most purely enjoyable baseball game on the market. Classic old/new school legends are great choices. Gameplay is just sensational. Smooth, satisfying, like a nipple piercing. Charecter customization could be improved upon but overall, great game. And seeing that EA owns the co. now this will likely be the last Super Mega Baseball game we will get. A great point to end on... like a nipple piercing
