this game is very realistic and i dont understand how this is fun. basically what im saying is stick to mlb the show fop better baseball game

The fact that a sports game for PC in the 2020s from a major publisher like EA does not support head to head play against friends without some ridiculous steam remote play streaming garbage is inexcusable. Requested a refund. This game is utter trash.

This game is so POORLY optimized for keyboard and mouse. The mouse "select which base to throw it to" is PAINFUL to use, when it often selects the wrong base sensitivity. For example, trying to double off a man on first from a caught line drive, my cursor ALWAYS prioritizes home base FOR SOME UNGODLY REASON. When the game is 'that' quick-thinking, you would ASSUME that the game would automatically point you in the right direction. But no, it's just poorly optimized. Picking off bases and throwing on steal attempts works the same way, prioritizing THE WRONG BASE and making it unfair player controlled teams.

I played single player forever and it's OK but the REAL FUN is in the online play/Pennant Race. I wish I knew before I even started the game that it was SO BAD online, search reddit for SMB4 server issues & see its ABUNDANT for YEARS!! There is no way to "report the server" that is giving you issues and the game will constantly re-connect you to people that have super bad lag. It becomes unplayable online and then you are forced to lose a game because of lag and waiting. It's not a great feeling to spend a bunch of time ranking up and constantly lose that rank by lag forcing loses and it's an absolute ripoff for the price. EA doesn't care about it's customers clearly, otherwise they would do something about these abysmal servers. Save your money because this aint it.

I own the ROG Ally. I have no issue playing some demanding games on medium settings. This game would run perfectly fine for half an inning, then the frame rate would fluctuate between "smooth" down to "completely unplayable" until you restart the game. Definitely not worth the hassle. Play Super Mega Baseball 3 instead.

As someone who wishes there was a PC version of The Show and didn't feel like getting it this year, I got this instead. So far it's one of the best baseball games on the platform. I was a little wary because EA is involved, but they somehow managed to make a solid game.

I can be 13 - 3 in a Pennant Race, but the hitting is too random. My opponent can throw low ball out the strike zone for strikes and hit low ball for ground balls right through the middle but when I do the same thing it's called a ball when I pitch or it grounds out to the Shortstop. It's baseball but with too much of a RnG-element on the gameplayside. The editing and customisation is the same as in Super Mega Baseball 3, you just can't import anymore.

The best baseball game on the PC. The added features and miscellaneous updates under the hood are solid. That said, there are some graphical glitches that interfere with gameplay. Word of advice, limit the frame rate for this game to 60.

PC doesn't have the show and it's honestly criminal, this the next best thing lots of fun.
