I bought this game in Early Access. I wish I hadn't. It released in a completely unplayable state for VR. It's almost like it wasn't tested at all for VR release. I wish I could still get a refund.
The game is running on the Unreal Engine 5. It has very bad performance on my RTX 3080. Even on low graphics, I was getting variable frame rates from 20-90 fps, usually around 45 fps. The game looked ugly as hell for how poorly it was running. Seemed like it was using boiler plate EGS game assets for backrooms that must have been on a deep sale or part of the free monthly giveaways. Game looked very generic.
The UI was ugly as hell and difficult to navigate in VR. Parts of the UI were not rendering properly in VR. The displayed motion controllers were going all over the place. Sometimes they'd be near me and sometimes they would go far away all by themselves. Needless to say, the motion controllers were not motioning properly.
Then there are the game pauses and crashes. The game both pauses unexpectedly and then crashes unexpectedly. Good luck with that.
Rate 1/10. Shame on the developer! This game is proof that Steam needs to completely dismantle the Steam Early Access program. It does NOT work! Most EA games end up being trash. It's a money scam most of the time. Shame on Valve and Gabe Newell too!
