I had to think a long time about whether or not to recommend this game. While I do enjoy it, it has several issues that all boil down to the enemy AI. The cop/fbi/army vehicles are capable of basically tracking your movements, which wouldn't be too bad if they couldn't also accelerate wildly offscreen. Multiple runs have been ended by four or five vehicles flying in from off screen and killing my character, and they literally moved faster than I could react. It isn't fun when I die because of something entirely out of my control. Vehicles can adjust their pathing to hit you while you're in the middle of a dodge, directing right to where your move ends. I also encountered a glitch multiple times where my character would be on the ground but be injured by rotor blades. Sometimes the character would also get stuck on roadblocks (not be blocked by them, but hovering over them and locked in place). With enemies able to hyper track you, there isn't nearly enough healing in the game. If there were, it would feel like less of a practice in frustration. The character unlock methods feel very same-y as well, and im surprised that there's no unlock for blowing up enemy vehicles in a run. Ultimately, I wish I could recommend this game, because it really is fun, but I can't right now because of the hyper-accurate AI.

It's really fun game and has a lot of content considering the price. It's like if Grand Theft Auto 2 had a baby with the original Postal. It really is tons of fun and even for full price it's worth every penny. It sucks that it doesn't seem to have a developer anymore so it doesn't look like we're going get any more content. With that being said, its still worth every penny at full price and I've really enjoyed this game.

Progress: 100% Completion Achievements: 65 / 65 Unlocked Playtime: 17.3 Hours 📝 Review Maniac feels like it was designed by someone who watched a crime documentary, drank three energy drinks, and said “What if Hotline Miami but unhinged-er?” It’s brutal, fast, twitchy, and doesn’t care if you’re having a good time — you’ll learn to enjoy the pain. The game throws you into chaos and demands you adapt or die, and the moment-to-moment action rewards precision, aggression, and the occasional lucky bounce. Getting 100% wasn’t a cakewalk, but it was fair. The achievements are varied enough to make you experiment without forcing you into nonsense. It’s loud, ugly in a good way, and strangely cathartic. If you like stylish carnage and games that punish hesitation, this one’s for you. 👍 Recommendation Yes, I recommend it.

It has a lot of issues when cars dog pile you into a corner and character unlocks are miracles when it's achievable. Being said it's all I could ever wanted out of another VSlike with lots more influence of Rampage than GTA. Small chaotic fun. Four Stars, kid.

8/10 Provides what it promisis: it's a crazy GTA1-look-alike game, where you are put instantly in the middle of action. The UI is a bit clunky, the map design is far from perfect (what are those kinda invisible walls EVERYWHERE?) and I've found it much more playable using keyboard+mouse, but otherwise, it's a great way for some instant fun+adrenalin :)

i would give this a 7.5/10. it is a bit like Vampire Survivors where you just fend off waves of enemies for the most part. i believe this game falls into the twin stick shooter category and is a fine game for a few hours but gets old a bit quick so its only worth a few bucks to spend a few nights playing.

a OG GTA roguelike. it's an absolute blast with meaningful upgrades. but also a game that you can finish without upgrades, aka, real skill

My review is long over due. This game is great. The edgy setting is not exactly to my taste but it's a glorious survivor entry regardless. I love the size of the city and the mechanics. Probably in my top 5 or top 3 survivors, which themselves are my favorite type of game. HIGHLY recommend. If this had been GTA2, earth would be a different place.

Just to echo what others are saying, yeah, it's good fun. Drink till you hit the brink, Santa. Kill 'em all, Santa. I miss playing GTA 2 and I can't get it to run anymore. This works as a stripped down experience. And it looks/controls better.

The gameplay is smooth and has a nice flow. Some of the UI option selections feel a little clunky, but not enough to significantly detract from the experience. I'd say worth it for the price.
