Yes, I'd absolutely recommend this game, despite it not being the toughest challenge, nor having the most gripping story. There is not enough games of this type, so if a game of this genre releases, and is not below average, any person who likes this kind of games should get it. 7/10 imho. If the devs can fix the launch issues (and some minor gameplay problems), it would jump up another point.

Having played the originals I had high hopes for this game, was not disappointed at all. You can definitely replay this game and get a different experience trying new ways to take out the guards. Hope they make another one.

Brought back great childhood memories. While I missed the traditional inventory system—the new loot-based approach didn’t quite replace it for me—and there were some bugs and annoyances, it still captured the classic feel. A solid return for fans of the series.

There are so many great games in this genre, from older ones to the amazing modern takes from Mimimi. It's a shame then that this game is worse than Mimimi games in all aspects. It doesn't run smoothly at all, quicksaving/loading takes way too long even on a super fast M.2 drive, the controls are so imprecise to just feel off, the UI is a mess of similar-looking icons. The demo was already like this, but perhaps foolishly I thought they might have learned something from this. Avoid and just play the Mimimi games.

I like the story and challenge, but game is quite buggy. It feels like an unfinished product.

The camera controls were atrocious. It was so maddening to try a modern game with what felt like an archaic control scheme. Do the devs not play ANY rts games?

This game ticks all boxes for me. Nostalgia, big maps and diverse levels.

It's unbelievable how unpolished this game still is, even after several updates. Glitches and overall sluggish responsiveness are one thing, but the lack of quality-of-life features is unforgivable — especially considering what Mimimi did for the genre. All they had to do was take those ideas, put them together, and reskin it as a Commandos game. It drives me crazy every time I look at the character portraits — I see a commando on the far left, I instinctively press '1' on the keyboard, only to realize someone hard-bound that unit to, say, '4'. I don’t know why commandos can’t drop bodies from rooftops or any other kind of higher ground. I don’t know why they can’t just jump down from a ledge like normal humans. I don’t know why they insist on taking the dumbest possible paths when moving around. Another thing that drives me absolutely insane is entering buildings. Sometimes finding the exact pixel that makes the interior visible feels like a harder puzzle than actually eliminating the enemies. It’s such a shame I preordered this game.

Can't recomend. This game is lagging behind Mimimi studio games a lot. * No time control, you cant make things go faster and have to wait for npcs to go through their route. * No combined actions (like kill + pick up on action + ctrl) * Characters feel too generic, lacking uniqueness in their abilities. Differences betweens them are minimal. (at least in a first missions you dont feel it much). Overall this game offers nothing new in genre and actually takes a step back in development. It brings no new features like Shadow Tactics or Desperados 3 did, and no new types of enemies like Shadow Gambit did. First mission puzzles are boring due to character abilities being mostly duplicates of each other. Better play one of the Mimimi (RIP) games

It's one of my favorite games ever, but honestly developers, do you even test your game before you make us pay money? It's really frustrating, stupid bugs, and I am furious!! Characters decide to walk away on their own and you can't control them, suddenly you see an enemy character flying out of the map, or the harpoon suddenly vanishes after you use it. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME JUST YET. Oh and by the way, those bugs are right after the last update they did. Excellent job Kalypso Media Test Team. WHAT A SHAME!
