If you don't have sluttering like me on my PC, go for it. It looks and is played more than well. I will wait for further updates and faster PC in the future. Except HUD which because of too much white color it too bright in my opinion I have no other problems with the game. Hopefully in the future, teh sluttering will be gone and no further problems appear.
I finished only the first mission - have Ryzen 5 5600X, 32 GB RAM, 3070, 2 TB SSD and the game was sluttering during movie, animations and sometimes gameplay too.

I was going to wait until I finished the game to write a review but after some 4 missions I think I'm able to share my thoughts. I am a big fan of the original Commandos games and I still revisit them often. I was weary of this new title but I must agree with many other reviewers. The game is a wonderful callback to the originals with an excellent update and fresh take on the approach. The ability to set up multiple commandos to act at the same time is incredibly fun. The graphics are great, the UI is simple and easy to navigate and although there are still some small bugs they don't affect gameplay too much (at least for me). So if you remember the old Commandos fondly and wish to enjoy the game again, then get it.

If you like games of this type you will definitely like this. If you have never tried a game of this type and want to try one I would say this is a good entry point to give it a shot.
I have played all of the Commandos games and I can say that this is a good one. I have a seen a few reviews saying that it is not worth full price and I very much disagree. The levels are quite large once you get past the first two or three training missions and the game is difficult yet fair if you are paying attention to your surroundings like a good little commando. I am writing this review 60 hours in and I still haven't finished the entire game yet. There is enough game for your money here. Make sure you quick save constantly to avoid redoing large sections of a map. I got too cocky two or three times in some missions and went too long without saving and lost a good 20 or 30 minutes of progress. Don't make that mistake and it won't be as frustrating.
There are a few bugs here and there, but only encountered one involving the inside areas of a ship that was truly an issue, but I was still able to finish mission, albeit with a bit of frustration. Definitely not a deal breaker for me and I still highly recommend.

I like the story and challenge, but game is quite buggy. It feels like an unfinished product.

Great continuation of the franchise. Very much loved how detailed all locations are. The game is quite unforgiving but you quick-save and reload and try again

Superb! at it's best strategy tactics an RTS game can have. This game reminds me of Command and Conqueror, similar but different. In Command and Conqueror you had to build a base and it took almost half of your game time in order to proceed with the action. With Commandos: Origins, the actions starts right away! I have been waiting for a Command and Conqueror remake and this is absolutely the game I have been waiting for! This game is challenging and if you are a noobie to play this game, I recommend to play Command and Conqueror first, then give this a try. If you are a veteran game player of Command and Conqueror like me, then this game is for you. If I can rate this game, I would give it a 9 out of 10 score! A kickass game to have. Yes! I do recommend this game, go ahead and buy it, you won't regret it.

A huge letdown.
The first PC game I ever played was Commandos 2: Men of Courage—what a masterpiece. Destination Berlin was solid too. All the earlier games had personality, depth, gripping stories, and incredible attention to detail—even in the most unexpected places.
This used to be greatness.
After waiting years for a new entry, this feels stripped down to the bare minimum.
Makes me truly admire Gonzo and Jones and EIDOS for what they did
Story:
It just doesn't grab you the same way. Maybe that's subjective, but it feels like the soul is missing.
Don't believe me look at the manual we had for all the items in commandos 2: men of courage, hand drawn and awesome
Bonus missions etc
Gameplay & Features:
- The inventory system? Gone.
- You can’t pick up items, even basic stuff like weapons or clothing from enemies.
- Ammo is limited, and there are no crates, cupboards, or stashes to scavenge through.
- Interactions are minimal—just a few preset traps here and there.
Environments:
They look decent, but performance-wise, it’s disappointing.
The old games ran beautifully on machines with Pentium 3s, and now I need a 5060Ti and 16GB RAM just to get semi-smooth gameplay—still stutters at times.
Water Mechanics:
This part hit the hardest for me.
- No underwater environments, no swim animations—commandos can’t even swim now.
- You get "stealth swim" with limited shore entry points.
- There used to be underwater mines, sharks, and all those small details, all gone.
- Even the dynamic soundtrack’s missing. It all feels... shallow.
I played for about 30 hours, slowly, the way I used to enjoy the different strategies.
At this point, my only hope is the modding community. Maybe, just maybe, someone out there can breathe life back into this hollow shell.

Can't recomend.
This game is lagging behind Mimimi studio games a lot.
* No time control, you cant make things go faster and have to wait for npcs to go through their route.
* No combined actions (like kill + pick up on action + ctrl)
* Characters feel too generic, lacking uniqueness in their abilities. Differences betweens them are minimal. (at least in a first missions you dont feel it much).
Overall this game offers nothing new in genre and actually takes a step back in development. It brings no new features like Shadow Tactics or Desperados 3 did, and no new types of enemies like Shadow Gambit did. First mission puzzles are boring due to character abilities being mostly duplicates of each other. Better play one of the Mimimi (RIP) games

It's unbelievable how unpolished this game still is, even after several updates. Glitches and overall sluggish responsiveness are one thing, but the lack of quality-of-life features is unforgivable — especially considering what Mimimi did for the genre. All they had to do was take those ideas, put them together, and reskin it as a Commandos game.
It drives me crazy every time I look at the character portraits — I see a commando on the far left, I instinctively press '1' on the keyboard, only to realize someone hard-bound that unit to, say, '4'.
I don’t know why commandos can’t drop bodies from rooftops or any other kind of higher ground. I don’t know why they can’t just jump down from a ledge like normal humans. I don’t know why they insist on taking the dumbest possible paths when moving around.
Another thing that drives me absolutely insane is entering buildings. Sometimes finding the exact pixel that makes the interior visible feels like a harder puzzle than actually eliminating the enemies.
It’s such a shame I preordered this game.
