I think for you to enjoy the game, you just "had to be there".
I remember watching videos of it being developed. A guy, the developer, would create this game (as a parody of YanSim, I suppose) and add things the viewers suggested, often very dank suggestions, which resulted in the odd look and humour this game gives off.
Basically, the whole game is an inside joke.
