Don't play this game if you actually care about dodging attacks, the protagonist hitbox is her whole body, while the 2nd fight the drunk stupid shrine girl takes the whole screen. Dashing won't save you from taking damage, plunging attacks also cancel the moment even a tiny pellet hit you.
Fix the hitbox for once.
