Another Exe-Kemco game.
This time it's Asdivine Cross.
The plot is (again) the usual save the world.
Doing so the Hero and his 3 (female) consorts travel around Asdivine and battle evil.
If you played an Exe game before than your biggest question would be: is there any change to the gameplay?
Well, in a way it is. After finishing the game (for the first time) you get the normal ending and than can start the Game+ content. Usual it would be that you start from the last battle and than the story splits.
Now, with this game you must play again right from the start.....There is no difference!!!
Only that two translucent watchers show themselfs at certain points (no interaction with them). Only after you fought the last fight again starts the new content.
Is it worth a 2nd playthrough? Not really. The story is so linear that there is absolut no must see moment.
Now with the new content you also get some optional dungeons - fights.
The famous Forgotten Town (ruled by THE MAID) is back and you can test your strength in the dungeons.
For the gameplay: at last the characters are cute...but the story and how they act is absolutely childish.
If you have played even 1 JRPG before....start this game with Hard or Expert difficulty...even than you'll stomp your opponents with 1 hit. Except some from the new content challenges...for those you'll need endless grinding.
Now the big question: can I recommend this game? I already guessed what to expect from this game and bought it at 1/2 price. So if you seek a game that you can play and watch a movie at the same time....it's OK...otherwise No.
