These games always have great music. Also, highly recommend playing with a controller. It's perfectly playable with a kb, but controller is much better.

Pros: + Pleasant music. + Solid controls. + Good enemy variety (they gain new attacks over time). + Equipment variety allows for a few ways to play later on. None of the weapons feel outright bad at any time, and some shine better against some enemies versus others. + Cute story; a small amount of story, but cute all the same. + Decent difficulty past early game. The difficulty will rollercoaster a bit as you gain new upgrades, and face new foes. There is a final stage dungeon that will challenge basically anyone. Cons: - Early game is extremely boring. You have to grind for a few hours in maps that you have no chance of losing in with piddly weapons, and no speed boosts. By mid game you gain better weapons, a speed boost, and at times somewhat of an actual challenge. - Expect grinding. Similar to the previous point, there is a lot of grinding in this game. I don't personally consider this a negative, barring the early game, but anyone considering this should be aware you'll have to get a significant amount of materials to progress in the game. === TL;DR: Solid game, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Cute pixel art, heartwarming story line, and most important of all, fluid movement and combat. My only complaint is that switching potions is a bit clunky. As another comment said, it gets a bit grindy so this game is really good in small doses. I did not learn from that comment and dove into the game for 5 hours straight, but still quite fun. I definitely would recommend for a ~$10 price point.

The game starts a bit slow and you need to put some time into opening new mechanics, but "Magic Potion Millionaire" is great if you're currently up for relaxed grinding.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game, which was made by only one person. In my eyes, it's a bit like a Maplestory-lite, with an idle game thrown in there about halfway through. It's very grindy, so it's definitely a game for a specific niche, but it's fun and avoids the trappings of "roguelikes", which it somewhat inaccurately describes itself as. Genre nitpicking aside, it's a fantastic game with tight controls, great sound & music, and a charming atmosphere. Give it a try if you like collectathons/grinding games.

this game is rather fun, although it can be a bit grindy. the varied environments and the powerful soundtrack keep the game interesting throughout the entire experience. i'm looking forward to the next game in this series.

Fun game. Fairly repetitive but works great in small doses. Go to dungeon, collect materials for upgrading or for completing quests for money to buy new passives and unlock new dungeons, rinse and repeat through harder floors of the same dungeons with a boss every 20 floors. Music is good, sound effects are a bit hit or miss and the dungeons themselves are all very similar but the real star is the progression. Dungeons start off incredibly easy but introduce hazards and new enemies or mechanics for the same enemies the deeper you go, while your character gets numerous meaningful upgrades for combat, exploration or just nice quality of life things. Only 5 hours in so far but I'm enjoying it a lot.

Glad this finally came to Steam. A rogue-like platformer in the vein of Rogue Legacy or Spelunky. Grind out random levels to get materials to trade for coins and then get upgrades, progress the story, etc. You have a melee attack and a gun attack (that can be switched by getting gun powerups). Straightforward and fun.
