I didn't play long but this is more like a puzzle game than something like Banished or a city builder with a dynamic economy and randomized events.
Let me explain, the couple of missions I played were about producing enough resources by a specific time point, and it was like 15 minutes long. There's plenty of structures and functions available which tells me it gets more diverse as time goes on, which isn't a bad thing.
I didn't bother playing beyond the first few missions but maybe I'll play it when again if I get an itch for a puzzle game. I really liked the art style and ambience.
edit: I'll definitely be booting up this game again when it's farther along in development, even though i haven't explored all of it's features yet.

Glory of Rome is a very complete city-building game. As a player, you have to build and manage an extremely interconnected web of supply and demand of resources and citizens. On top of that, the people physically transport the resources to a business, market, storage or their homes, adding a new dynamic to it all.
I’m having a lot of fun planning my Roman cities! If you’re into city-building games, you definitely want to try Glory of Rome.

Really nice small indie game!
I can see a lot of work has been put in this one, and it's still in development so I expect even more! The developer publishes updates quite often so bugs aren't really a problem (some of them might even give an advantage - goodbye double money I'll miss you).

OMG back to the good old days. I feel like fifty years old again. This game takes me back,as you can already tell, but boy has it been brought up too date without ruining that old gamers delight.
Easy to play however not all that easy to win. Love it.
I just jumped straight in full of confidence and the game soon said ahh ahh not quite like the old days old timer this game aint so simple.
Love it and I highly urge you to consider buying this game. Good fun. with plenty of "oh shit moments"

Thanks for the game! I enjoyed playing, though I had some bugs after a while.
First bug was that tasks required some buildings (like Medium Dwelling L2) that I already had on my map.
The second bug was that after a while, there were Medium Dwelling L2 buildings on anywhere I put my mouse on the map. In a minute, the whole map was the same building, on roads, on other buildings.
During this play, the task didnt finish een tho the time is out. Also game was super slow.
Hope these are able to be fixed!

A great little city builder, I really like the design and buildings, reminds me of games like caesar 3 and Pharaoh that I used to play. I really enjoyed this game and cant wait to see what's added next.

Cute little city builder. So far (scenario 6 complete) it has been pretty casual, a little slow at times. There are some speed adjustments, but everything still seems to go by very slowly. The quests that come along definitely help with cashflow for building and add a small amount of difficulty if you aren't ready for what they throw at you.
The graphics are pretty cartoonish. The mechanics are straight-forward if you play a lot of these sort of sim games. (Banished, RimWorld, etc)
I dislike the one view camera. You can't rotate at all. The play areas - even in sandbox - are prohibitively small. Buildings autoface pre-built roads with no option to change the orientation. However, the pips seem to walk through the walls anyhow so I guess it doesn't matter a whole lot which way the building is facing.
All the help and tips for a level come at the beginning, so if you don't pay attention you're out of luck as the mission goes on.
This is a good game to just chill and dump some time into. Nothing really hard or competitive about it. For the price it is a good deal, I think. It runs decently well on my notebook which I specifically bought only to do classwork (wordprocessing, etc) so it should be well adaptable to just about any system you slap it on.
In all I would say, check it out if you like these sort of games or would like to get into them in an easier way than some of the other games on the market that get over complicated.

City building in this game is easy if you want to just get through, but can be difficult when trying to get absolutely perfect. There is a calm and peaceful atmosphere to the game that I am becoming very fond of. I do recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable city-builder RTS.

As for early access, the game is enjoyable and playable.
For now there are only missions available, with sandbox in the roadmap.
The dev is actively responding to the players' suggestions and is totally open with his plans and assignments in progress.
As for the game itself, it's a classic city builder in the spirit of old Sierra games like Caesar, Zeus, etc.
The graphics are neat and building is very intuitive.
I recommend it to any city builders fan, and hope that the dev keeps doing his good job.

Original Text circa Feb 2021:
No save system at all. Really big problem for a city building game. Which is a shame the game is pretty fun. I refunded and will buy again and change my review to positive once you can save your progress in the game.
Today December 30th 2021:
The developer "playboi14" has no plans to code a save game feature into his city building game. He said this in this post https://steamcommunity.com/app/1455300/discussions/0/2998800559181415078 :
Hey there
I've been looking into the feasibility of introducing a save/load system and I keep running into a series of issues I can't resolve without rewriting most of the game.
That being the case I've added new scenarios in the various campaigns and reduced their length so you can get through them in around 15-40 minutes. The idea was generally that these were meant to played in a single session and after each scenario the next one unlocks. You can either continue playing or next time you start the game it'll be accessible in the campaign menu.
I'm not confident I'll be able to get a save/load system going unless I make some serious breakthroughs
So buyer beware. Don't waste your time with this one.
