The customization is great, but that's just about it...
- I don't think i ever played a kart-racer with this much rubber-banding going on. There is an option for it, however it only lets you choose between "bad" and "bad".
- most additional parts are locked behind battle-passes
- we could have done without the shitty 3-car switching

It's an okay racer, and lots of fun while it lasts. In a vacuum where other racing games don't exist, it would be fantastic. Unfortunately, it does not have the content or staying power of other games in the genre. They tried to compensate for this by allowing players to build their own vehicles from scratch. It's a really cool idea, and would have set the game apart, if the creator functionality weren't so agonizing to use. Its extreme clunkiness offsets any cool factor it had going for it.
I got this game for about $10, and I definitely felt that I got my money's worth. It would make a great game for introducing youngster's to the more advanced concepts of racers, like drifting.

if you want to play a lego racer game that has been infected by fortnite, this is for you.
battlepasses, microtransactions, and a lot of them. now we have to pay for 1x1 stuts. miracles of technology.
i hope the voice actors are okay, i have not heard people say so little while constantly yapping. pretty sure they have brainrot now.
the game stutters a lot on splitscreen on a 3060.
there are a million things to collect, and everything you do on the overworld, gives at least 3 types of currency and/ or exp. i still have not figured out what its for, i have enough trouble starting mulitplayer in this bloated main menu.
i reccomend the original 199 lego racers or the sequel (ps 2 version emulates great) to be honest.
2k drive perfectly fits the description of modern slop, and has everything that is wrong with modern video games.
