It's ok, get it on sale. You play 3 stages of a mini horror games, candy / salem / demon is the solution to the 3rd stage puzzle.

What's better than one shit game for 20$? 4 shit games for 20$! But let's dig a little deeper and of course spoilers ahead.
First of all the dev advertises this game as a second person view of a horror game and as a “New kind of fear!” but I don't fully believe the dev understands what second person is. When you play a game you usually have 1st and 3rd viewpoints where you either play as the character in 1st person or you play as someone who is viewing the character (Usually over their shoulder) in 3rd person view. A 2nd person game would be a game where the game is narrated to you and instead of playing a game you would be setting up situations where the game would then tell you the player what happens. Think of a choose your own adventure book or, better yet, an instruction manual where the writer is telling you what happens and what you need to do. A more confusing way to explain it would be saying you are viewing your character from someone else's 1st person perspective. Anyways I digress, this is just a 3rd person game so let's continue.
If you ever played a game like SIMULACRA this is basically the same thing. You find a computer, there is some kind of mystery, you have to find clues to uncover the mystery. The four games are supposed to represent different times throughout history and all revolve around the “Evil box made from satan” which is just the lament configuration from hellraiser. Maybe the dev didn't think anyone would remember that but they literally use the image from the movies in their game soooo I dunno. Each minigame gets progressively worse as the game goes on.
The first game is a side scroller which is decently well done until you find that the 3 different times you have to play it there is no variety. Run to right while getting pelted by random attacks until you reach some ambiguous end and the game will just randomly stop. There are a few minor puzzles but they are mostly physics based, I.E. trying to push balls into certain positions, that just don't work well in a 2d environment. There is also a weird wall glitch you can do by getting stuck in the walls and performing double jumps off of them but it's really not worth it since all of the segments are so short. Once you get to the end you'll get a part of a code, write it down and move on to part 2. Also the codes are color coded so make sure you take note of that.
The second game is a weird noir style detective case where you will walk into an interrogation room and get the same kind of number as the first game. Thats it really. You walk into a room, a cop says “Hey aren't you supposed to be on vacation?” and then you walk into the next room and get the second part of the code. The crazy thing about this one is when you have to play the same level again later on your character will shift between either being 6 foot tall to being 3 foot tall and then turning out to be 8 foot tall. Shit you not you either walk through doorways fine or you are either too short or too tall to reach the door handle. Fuck it, write down the code and color and move on!
The third game is where you get to become a school shooter, yes I'm not joking. The first part of this game is just following a girl. Follow her, get a code, and then leave. GG. The second part of this minigame is a school shooter game where you have to go around and shoot “Demons” but it's just you being manipulated by the evil box and you are really just shooting your classmates. Shoot them but dont walk into them since that will kill you because fuck you thats why.
The fourth and worse minigame is the same as the third but takes place several years in the future and now controlled through the view of security cameras (which is still 3rd person). I really can't explain how terrible the controls and gameplay of this game are but I'll give you the tldr. Walk from the top of the two story building to the bottom trying to collect items with a time limit. FUCKING TERRIFYING.
I understand what this game was trying to go for. Kind of a found footage/Demon stuck and trying to escape kind of game. But its annoying slow with painful control and just annoying boring puzzles. You slap a 20$ price tag (or 15 or 17 or whatever the bs sale price is) and you have a recipe for disaster.
