When I start the game, the guy constantly runs to the right and I can't stop it. Acts like a key is stuck. Pressing space bar works ok for jump. If I plug in an XBOX controller into my USB port, I can use the D pad to force him left, but the minute I let off he starts running right again. Impossible to play in this state. If anybody knows a fix for this please let me know.

lots of bugs...game will freeze at odd times or just bring you to high score screen. Have never made it past 2nd elevator without a crash. super disappointed since i loved the original on the C64...played the crap out of it as a kid. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Ok so I was going to give this game a terrible review. On the first attempt by the third or so room, the game locked up. I restarted, and tried again but this time all rooms I could move around and access on entry to the room the character wouldn’t move forward into the room, he could only turn around and back out, I then restarted to try for the third attempt to play… not a single issue! Just Emerged a hour now later, remembering how frustratingly hard I found this game back in 1990 on my commodore… but good fun.

Played a little bit of it so far. I can vouch that this port is decent. I haven't encountered any of the issues others have pointed out personally, so maybe the issues have been fixed since? Regardless, it's fun to finally be able to play Impossible Mission again. It's the puzzle platforming classic as you've always known it.
I'll be staying awhile... maybe even forevaaaa!

I purchased this for the nostalgia value, and that is the only reason to buy this. The game is quite seriously difficult, potentially impossible, I never beat it on my Commodore, and don't expect to now.
But as it provides what I expected, hard to not recommend it, just don't buy it for any other reason, is my advice.

The first one was much very better programmed. In this one the robots have a quite erratic and different bvehavior, the platforms are slippery, you cant' jump through doors (try jumping passing trought the elevator! I always loved to do that). The graphics are fuzzy and everything sounds fake. The chessboard game have strange sounds and they could have at least added the mouse functionality! Total shame, the original was way better than this.

I just took a chance and bought this game to see if it would work as I use to play this on an old Commodore 64 when I was 8 and up and loved the game and have been looking for it for years for the PC. It works just fine, no problems that I can see. I also have a wireless controller for a Android Smartphone which is also compatable for Windows computer games and the controller works just fine with the game. No complaints there.. If there were problems with the game to start with the bug's must have been resolved before I bought the game... Best $2.00 yet that I invested.... For this reason I will give a thumbs up and reccommend the game to everyone...

Buggy AF. If you start a new game it hangs when you enter a room, the music game rooms don't work so you can't get the passwords you need. I really wanted this to work, it's nostalgia for me but...

All I have to say is, I've about had enough of slaving away at games and not getting an ending. So I played this over and over, had a few near misses, but I thought it'd be worth continuing for the dubious pleasure of seeing an ancient screen of a defeated, old mad scientist in his control room and then a "Mission Complete" screen with scores. I didn't even fucking get that. After the control room door opens, the screen makes the blocky, crossfade transition to the "Mission Terminated" screen. Instead of a meagre reward I got a "fuck you" from the guys who did this remaster job. Well fuck you right back.

EDIT 24/11/2020
The game now works. It is the crappiest port everyone could immagine, I don't know how someone could have the guts to put this thing on sale. Collision problems, non consistent phisics, the robots have strange patterns, puzzle are off, sounds don't match with animations, and sometimes the character FLIES over the holes. This is an insult to everyone who loves the original game, to Epyx a to the game itself.
Bought on Day One. Totally unplayable: entering on any rooms it doesen't show the platforms (see the screenshots) so the player falls off and die in loop.
Other than that: slower animation with not matching sounds (for example the footsteps), glitchy graphics (for example when alighed behind the side of the lift, the character "trembles").
At current state, it's garbage.
It's faithful in one thing: it resembles perfectly the glitchy bootleg games for the Commodore 64 you could get at the newspaper's in the 80s.

EDIT 24/11/2020
